Somebody Needs a Tickle!
~ Mr. Tickle's most famous Catchphrase in The Mr. Men Show.

Mr. Tickle is the first Mr. Men created by Roger Hargreaves. He has a blue bowler hat and long arms to tickle people around him.

Appearance[]

He resembles an orange circle with four limbs and a hat. His most notable feature is his long arms, which is described to be "extraordinarily long".

Personality[]

He has been shown as a mischievous fellow. For example in "Little Miss Magic", he'd been annoying people by tickling them even more than usual, to the point of putting Mr. Happy in a bad mood. Despite this, he is very caring and tickles people in order to make them happy.

Skills and Abilities[]

He is capable of stretching out his arms to tickle people.

He can also use them for non-tickle activity such as saving people.

Other adoptions[]

1974 Animated Series[]

Mr. Tickle appears in his first appearance. He tickled many people around town.

The Mr. Men Show[]

Unlike his original appearance, his arms are slightly shorter, however he can stretch them out so they become longer. He is voiced by Jeff Stewart in the US dubbing while voiced by Rob Rackstraw in the original UK broadcast.

Trivia[]

  • Roger Hargreaves came up with the story of Mr. Tickle when his son Adam asked him: "How does a tickle look like?".
