Mr. Turner, most commonly known as Dad, is the husband of Mrs. Turner, Timmy's father and the supporting characters in The Fairly Oddparents. He is usually depicted as one of the most idiotic characters on the show, rivaled only by Cosmo (and even there Cosmo is considered smarter). As a running gag throughout the series, his first name has never been revealed. He is either referred to as Timmy's Dad or something such as a truck noise blocks the revealing of his actual name. Mr. Turner's arch-nemesis and next-door neighbor is Sheldon Dinkleberg. Dad is voiced by Daran Norris, who also played the live action version of him in the "Fairly Odd Movie" and also voiced Cosmo in the series.
In the episode "Father Time!" when Timmy destroys a very important 30-year-old trophy of his father's, who gets mad at him, so Timmy wishes his father never won it. Using his new time traveling scooter, Timmy goes back in time and prevents his father from winning the trophy. But after he realizes that he won it in a race to impress Timmy's mom years ago, Timmy returns to the present to realize he's unknowingly created a bleak future where he doesn't exist, and therefore has no fairy godparents and as a result, his father has become an insane dictator who's taken over the world.
