The Ballad of Hua Mulan[]
Hua Mulan was a Chinese girl who lived with her family in an ancient kingdom. One day, she received news that the Tartars were invading China and one man from every family was to serve in the Imperial army. To save her father, Mulan disguised herself as a man and joined the army. There was a battle that raged for many years, where Mulan led her army into battle against the Tartars and defeated them. Afterwards, Mulan, praised for her glory, returned home.
