Laddies love me!
~ Mung's obsession with women

Mung Daal is the owner and head chef of Mung Daal's Catering Company, and a main character in the 2007 Cartoon Network series, Chowder. He is the deuteragonist of the series.

He was voiced by Dwight Schultz.

Information

Mung Daal is the owner and head chef of Mung Daal's Catering Company for at least 386 years and has been married to Truffles the mushroom fairy for 450 years. His apprentice is the titular protagonist, Chowder the cat/bear/rabbit hybrid, and his employee is Shnitzel the rock monster. His best friend is Gaspacho the mammoth, and his rival is Miss. Endive.

Appearance

Mung is an elderly blue humanoid who wears glasses. He has a white mustache (which he says is his most prized possession alongside Truffles), a long neck, large ears, and a massive nose. He wears a white coat, alongside an orange Irish skirt, brown shoes, and black socks.

Personality

Mung's personality changes often throughout the series depending on the episode. What he loves the most are cooking and ladies, which he has an obsession of and always walks over and seductively says "Laddies" whenever he sees any. He also has a deep affection to his wife Truffles, and goes into a depression after she ignores him in punishment for forgetting their anniversary. He cares about his apprentice Chowder and his chef Shnitzel. What Mung hates the most is Endive and customers who either waste his time or are picky about the food he makes for them.
