“ | Just the fact that you're asking me this gives you the answer. Fiona never questioned anything, she never took the time to ponder the impact of her actions. Never gave a passing thought about those she hurt, all just... petty obstacles in her path to her base wants and desires. My dear Delia, you are not your mother, you'll never be your mother, and the truth is, even if Fiona walked this earth for a thousand years, she would be but a flicker, pale in the shadows, while you light up the sky like a fiery conflagration. | „ |

“ | She's the greatest witch I've ever known. Our coven wouldn't have flourished if it weren't for her wisdom. She made me who I am. | „ |
~ Cordelia regarding Myrtle to Mallory |
Myrtle Snow is an honest, thoughtful, and considerate witch, and a major protagonist in American Horror Story: Coven and American Horror Story: Apocalypse.
She was formerly head of the Witches' Council prior to her first death in the third season and became a leader of the current Coven after Cordelia Foxx was elected the new supreme (erased timeline).
Myrtle Snow was portrayed by Frances Conroy in both seasons.
Biography[]
Background[]
Coven[]
When Zoe Benson discovers her witch abilities, Myrtle Snow and her male servants escort her to the Miss Robichaux's Academy in New Orleans. When they arrive at the gates, Myrtle and her men disappear, leaving Zoe behind.
Apocalypse (Alternate Timeline)[]
Apocalypse (Fixed Timeline)[]
In this timeline, Cordelia Foxx had no need to resurrect Myrtle, and, therefore, she remains deceased.
With Myrtle absent from life, Cordelia has dedicated a painting of Myrtle in her honor, and tells Mallory about her. She states Myrtle is one of the most gifted, talented, and extraordinary witches she had ever met. As Mallory already knows Myrtle from the erased timeline, she can clearly tell Cordelia deeply cares for Myrtle.
In this timeline, Cordelia still views Myrtle as the mother she never had, and thinks about her all the time.

Outfits[]
Myrtle Snow has a great sense of fashion, always accessorizing accordingly. Myrtle Snow is obsessed with fashion given her numerous couture outfits throughout her debut. Her love of fashion is even more defined when she is sentenced to burn at the stake following the murder of her fellow council members. She walks to the stake, black umbrella in hand, wearing a long, flowing red dress with matching gloves and heels, as well as a pair of sunglasses. As she is asked for final words, she screams out "Balenciaga,“ after the French fashion house founded in 1914 by Basque-Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. This was her tribute to couture, her ultimate love. She also violently criticized Cecily Pembroke before murdering her for her faux-pas regarding Pembroke's 40s-era hat, claiming that it would give her horrific nightmares.
Myrtle Snow wears glasses of different shapes and sizes, but most noticeable is her common black glasses that are shaped like women’s eyes. These glasses go out to a point and are big. She also wears tan-like glasses as well in the first few episodes of Coven, but are not used too often.
Trivia[]
- It can be noted Myrtle has bad eyesight. This is due to the fact she wears huge glasses.
