N'than is a supporting protagonist in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. He is an Earthblood Elf who was getting trained to become a Drakerider, but chose not to hurt the first dragon he caught, who was Azymondias, and would help Team Zym in getting to the cave of Rex Igneous in Umber Tor.
He is voiced by Dylan Schombing.
Biography[]
N'than was born an Earthblood Elf in the Drakewoods, who was trained by Warlon to become a Drakerider, but because of his timid nature, he was unable to have the courage to become one. One day, Warlon decided to capture a wild dragon and started to hit it with his bola while N'than watched behind a rock so Warlon could teach him to become braver.
However, Soren appeared and defeated Warlon, and N'than brought other Drakeriders, who captured Soren and the dragon would then put them in a pit, although Soren and the dragon which Soren would name Squeaky were able to escape from it. The next day, Azymondias would search for Soren, but Warlon and the other Drakeriders would see him and try to capture the dragon.
While Team Zym were able to defeat the other Drakeriders, N'than was able to capture Azymondias, and while he initialy thought on killing him to become a Drakerider, he refused to do it and allowed Team Zym to untie Azymondias. N'than would then understand his wrongs and understood if Azymondias wanted to eat him for what he did, bowing to him after N'than learned Azymondias was the dragon prince from Ezran, but Azymondias just started licking him and made N'than happier.
N'than would then guide Team Zym to the pit where Soren and Squeaky were, but they only found Soren's armour, and N'than would then guide them to Rex Igneous, and they would do several trials, such as touching several crystals to find a way out of a cave full of them, and fighting against a group of monsters who were attracted by light.
After they got to Rex Igneous, Ezran, Rayla, and Callum gave their personal valuable items to Rex as "gifts", but Rex called them worthless and tried to kill them, but Ezran was able to convince him to tell them that he had the map that would lead to a clue to where Aaravos' prison was, but Claudia appeared and put all of them sleeping with a spell.
However, N'than was awaken by Rex Igneous roaring after he got stabbed in his left paw by Rayla to stop Terry and Claudia from getting a map that would lead to where Aaravos' prison was located, and Rex accused Team Zym of being traitors who were trying to hurt him, so Rex attempts to kill them. Team Zym were, however, able to escape from Umber Tor, and were saved by Zubeia from Rex Igneous. The group would then have a group hug after undertsanding that everyone was alright.
Personality[]
N'than is a timid elf who wanted to become a Drakerider, but lacked the courage to do so. However, when he had Azymondias tied up, he refused to kill him, and instead decided to help Team Zym get to Rex Igneous by informing them of the things needed to get to the cave Rex was in.
N'than was also shown to be honest and to an extent even pessimistic because of it, as he analyze the situations and says the most realistic outcomes to have occored, regardless of how bad or horrific they might be. Despite this, N'than is shown to be friendly with Team Zym and treating them like they were like his greatest friends.
Trivia[]
- Several characteristics about N'than are a joke on the character Nathan Drake from the Uncharted video game series. Such as his name being similar to Nathan's first name, and that he lives in the Drakewood, which is located in the Uncharted Forest. This is exemplified in the ending cards, where one of them has N'than mimicking the promotional image of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
