Nana Izumi (和泉 ナナ) is a main character in Daimos.
Appearance[]
Nana has short blonde, curly, hair that she ties with red ribbons. It is often tied on both sides of her head. She has pale, pinkish skin and has large, blue eyes. Nana is very short, and usually dresses in a blue shirt and shorts.
Personality[]
Nana has an childlike, innocent and upbeat personality. She gets angry and irritated easily, and hates when people act disrespectful. When Reiko attended Daimovic, Nana disliked her because of her bratty behaviour, and had to be restrained by Kazuya from attacking her. At the same time, she also acts as a restraint to Kazuya when he's angry, such as preventing him from attacking Kyoshiro when he accused Erika of being traitorous for knowing the enemy robot's weak point.
Nana also cares a lot about justice and spoke out against Sakamori Miwa because of his unfair treatment of Kazuya. While she was initially unhappy to hear that Kazuya fell in love with Erika, she realized that she made him happy, and accepted their romance. She would help Kazuya in his missions as she wants him to be with her.

Kazuya Ryuzaki[]
Despite being her adoptive brother, Nana would gain a crush on Kazuya. When Kazuya was involved in a freak accident at 14, Nana was concerned for his safety and begged him not to keep trying to walk, but he refused.
Kazuya was oblivious to Nana's crush until he fell in love with Erika, after which Nana would display jealous behaviour, going as far as to run away from home in a suicide mission because she felt like he didn't love her. Kazuya was forced to retrieve her and told her that he came to save her because he did love her. After this incident, Nana's jealousy would fade away and she accepted that Kazuya loved Erika.
When she noticed Kazuya was sad after not being able to see Erika, she tried to cheer him up by encouraging his passion of playing the drums.
Kyoshiro Yuzuki[]
Nana and Kyoshiro are friends, but he often makes jokes that leave her aghast, such as saying that he'll die if he intervenes in a fight between Kazuya and Richter. Kyoshiro also tends to make fun of Kazuya because he goes through great lengths just to see Erika again, which Nana dislikes. When Kazuya and Kyoshiro had a training fight, Nana cheered for Kazuya.
Though they have disagreements, they co-operate the plane Galva together and have each other's backs in battle. When Miwa had Kazuya arrested and tortured, they worked together to set him free.

Skills[]
- Guns: Nana knows how to use a gun, and carries a rifle with her wherever she goes.
- Karate: Like her grandfather, Nana is a Karate practicioner, but her skills are nowhere near his level. She was easily bested by Kazuya in their fight.
- Piloting: While Kyōshirō usually commands the Galva plane, Nana pilots it if he's unavailable.
Trivia[]
- Nana has a resemblance to Candy from Candy Candy.
- Some fans ship Nana and Kyoshiro.
- Nana is likely based on Hiyoshi from the predecessor series of Daimos, Voltes V. Both are geniuses at technology - Hiyoshi's skill is robotics and Nana's is flying planes. Hiyoshi is also close to his robot Tako, while Nana is close to the Daimovic robot Cairo. Both are also the younger siblings of the main character. Nana also has a tendency to call Kazuya "onii-chan", which is a similar tic to Hiyoshi would call Megumi "Megumi-neesan".
