Naoto Hachiouji is one of the two main protagonists (along with Nagatoro) in the manga/anime series Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro.
He is a high school student who constantly gets teased by Nagatoro, whom always refers to him only as "Senpai" (センパイ). He is an introvert, twitchy, loner, nerdy and shy aspiring artist, who tries to avoid social interaction with other people and doesn't seem to have any friends although, as the story progresses, he bonds with Gamo-chan, Yoshi, Sakura and Nagatoro herself, for whom he also harbors strong feelings. Senpai is the only remaining member of the art club beside the former President.
He is voiced by Daiki Yamashita in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Erik Scott Kimerer in the English version of the anime.
Appearance[]
Naoto is a tall but very skinny teenager with curly, fluffy brown hair (sometimes compared to sheep's fur) and brown eyes, adorned with square-rimmed glasses. He has quite pale skin that is sensitive to the sun's rays.
He mostly wears a typical school uniform consisting of a white button-down shirt and black pants topped off with a pair of sneakers.
Personality[]
Initially, Senpai is a very shy, quiet and introverted nerd, avoiding contact with other people most of the time. This is mainly because he has been bullied and teased by others for most of his life, and as a result he has learned to just be indifferent to bullies, keep calm around them and look away from them. However, Nagatoro's tormenting him was special as she was the first to make Naoto cry twice. However, as the story progressed, their relationship evolved greatly, with Nagatoro starting to tease Senpai in a much softer and more playful manner, and Naoto himself starting to act more naturally towards her, sometimes even teasing her himself. Also, Nagatoro's friends, who initially also liked to tease Sempai, began to appreciate his company very much, considering him a good friend and gentleman compared to most of the boys at school.
In addition to that, it turns out that Senpai is an extremely talented artist, draftsman and painter. He spends every free moment in an artistic club, creating new paintings, most often with Nagatoro, who willingly poses for him. Naoto also writes his own Fantasy manga with the handsome knight Siegfried (reflecting himself) and the skilled swordsmanship of Elizabeth (referring to his former President).

- He is quite chicken-hearted and doesn't particularly like horror movies.
- Among Senpai's favorite manga are the fictional "School Rumble Shining", "Lustful Quest", Rintarou Yagami's "Paradise Harem" and "Love's Slave" as well as the actually existing George Morikawa's Hajime no Ippo.
- He is often associated to a sheep, due to his twitchiness and fluffy hair. Yoshi being the character who call him "sheep" the most.
- His smartphone has a plain red case.
