You're all liars! You're all evil! You don't save anyone! They killed my friends... And my daddy!
~ Nastya calling out Silantius and his cultists, showing her severe disgust towards her nemeses.

Nastya is a minor character in the video game Metro Exodus. She serves as the major arch-nemesis of the technophobic cult in Volga known as the Church of the Water Tsar and its leader Silantius, whom she both severely disliked.

Before the events of the game, Nastya, her father Senya, and her mother Katya originally hailed from the Southern Urals, before moving in to Volga to settle a new life.

However, tragedy struck between the two, as her father was killed by a group of technophobic cultists from the Church of the Water Tsar, causing both herself and her mother to be imprisoned by Silantius, with the latter planning to forcibly marry her own mother.

She and her mother were later rescued by the Aurora Crew, with the help of a runaway mechanic known as Krest, later joining with the crew on their journey eastwards. Due to her mother's marriage with Stepan in the Summer of 2035, Nastya later becomes Stepan's stepdaughter.

Personality[]

Nastya is a curious young girl who is enthralled by the world around her and wants to learn more. Despite being used to the horrors of the world she lives in, she finds it interesting and marvels at its beauty, even considering the flying mutants known as Demons to be "majestic and lovely."

Nastya is also perceptive, as she quickly deduces during the first part of the Yamantau chapter that the entire mountains is considerably deserted, instead of it being brimmed with survivors, being the only person to do so.

Background[]

Past[]

Nastya is the only daughter of her mother Katya and her father Senya. They were originally living in the Southern Urals and relocated to the Volga a few years ago in pursuit of a better life. However, they rapidly became involved with Silantius and the Church of the Water Tsar, in an unfortunate encounter with him. Nastya despised the cult severely and regularly professed her disbelief in it. She also despised Silantius, recalling how, due to his technophobia, he had found her flashlight and destroyed it in rage.

Metro Exodus[]

Later on, however, a stroke of luck suddenly surrounds Nastya, whom she later sees Artyom Alekseyevich Chyornyj visiting the cult's stronghold, either by sneaking or running, telling him that she never liked Silantius and told him of his severe technophobia that annoyed her to no end, such as when he smashed her flashlight, before telling the Ranger to save her and her mother Katya.
