Nathalie Sancoeur is a major character in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
Initially serving as a villain who willingly helped out Hawk Moth in his plans, she turns against him in "Evolution" after he chose to pursue Ladybug and Cat Noir instead of providing his past self with the means to restore the broken Peacock Miraculous, which in return would have saved both her and Gabriel's wife Emilie from their sicknesses caused by using a Miraculous when it was damaged, and would go on to redeem herself by the end of Season 5 by asking Ladybug to stop Monarch.
She is a former treasure hunter of magical objects and Gabriel Agreste's assistant who manages his fashion work, his mansion, and takes care of his son Adrien.
In "Conformation", Nathalie attempted to do a video message for Adrien, but failed to do so. She also tried to stop Gabriel, but passed out when Gabriel transformed into Monarch. He took Nathalie to her room, where Ladybug was hiding. Once Gabriel left the room, Ladybug questioned Nathalie about where Adrien was. Nathalie informed her that he was safe and implored her to stop Monarch at all costs before she succumbed to her illness and died.
In "Re-creation", after Gabriel sacrificed himself and made the wish to Gimmi, Nathalie recovered and awakened from her coma. In "Miraculous World London", once recovered thanks to the wish, she returns to the Crypt to find Gabriel, only to find Marinette there and witness her transform into Bug Noire, before assuring Marinette she's on her side now, and comforting Marinette as she breaks down crying over being unable to save Gabriel so Adrien is an orphan now. As part of her redemption, Nathalie frees the Kwamis, tells Marinette everything regarding Gabriel's alliance with Tomoe Tsurugi, and agrees to look after Adrien instead of turning herself in for her own actions as Mayura. She also invites Amelie and Felix Fathom to move into the Agreste Mansion so Adrien will still have family living with him in Paris.
In the French dub, she is voiced by Nathalie Homs. In the English dub, she is voiced by Sabrina Weisz.

Nathalie is a formal, patient, serious and cold woman who takes her job as Gabriel's assistant seriously. She almost never shows that she has emotions and has a strong character and a great sense of will, given that when many scream at her, like Audrey Bourgeios, she shows no emotions and remains still without saying anything. However, Nathalie is also sensitive, objective and understandable, as she truly cares for Gabriel, although over time it starts to make her worry that he is too obsessed with capturing the Miraculous and that he is going crazy, and also for Adrien , as the latter considers her as a member of his family, and Nathalie is always happy to see Adrien happy, as she would like the two to spend more time together, instead of Gabriel spending his time in his evil plans. Even though she is not warm, she can be friendly and polite.
Her biggest fear is disappointing Gabriel and her desire to be on Gabriel's side leads her to unfair actions, such as giving Adrien a birthday present and claiming she is from Gabriel when in reality she comes from Marinette. However, she does not always follow Gabriel's orders, as shown in "Oni-Chan", when she allows Lila to come in to help Adrien, unaware that she was being manipulated, furthermore, she also acts in very bad situations such as when she used the Miraculous of the damaged peacock.
Her loyalty to Gabriel leads her to be slightly callous and sadistic in deceiving the other inhabitants of Paris. Her patience sometimes has limits, and she ignores any damage she creates. Furthermore, she seems to see sentimonsters only as pawns and erases them whenever she wants. However, like Gabriel in "Evolution", she didn't think things through the whole time as they both didn't fully understand the consequences of time travel. Even if Gabriel managed to give himself the recipe to fix the Peacock Miraculous before it was used by Emilie, she would create a time paradox that could endanger the entire space-time continuum.
In the fifth season, she becomes friendlier and finally stops working for Gabriel, finally realizing his madness which is growing more and more. She continues to work for him only to protect Adrien. This completely makes the loyalty she had for Gabriel disappear, because when she discovered that his arm had been affected by Cat Noir's Cataclysm and that Gabriel would die in a short time, she understood that Adrien would be left alone, due to the fact that she would die due to the magical disease she got from using the damaged Peacock Miraculous. At one point she tries to take Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous to make her wish for her, claiming that Gabriel would use them for another reason now, but then she also tried to kill Gabriel.
After her resurrection, she seems to have changed for the better. She was willing to turn herself in for her crimes as Mayura, but Marinette convinced her she was better off taking care of Adrien as she's been a mother figure to him ever since Emilie fell into her coma. She also works with Marinette to destroy any evidence of Gabriel's crimes as Monarch to ensure their lie that he died protecting them from Monarch is never exposed to the public or Adrien, especially all of Marinette's allies as Ladybug in the French Miraculous Superhero Team, United Heroez, Ladydragon, Grandmaster Su-Han and the Guardians, while Kagami takes care of dealing with her mother Tomoe for her part in Gabriel's mad schemes.
However, later in Season 6, in the episode "El Toro De Piedra", Nathalie is revealed to be serving her father, Mr. Sancoeur, and a secret society that Gabriel was a part of, and Tomoe still is, with Gabriel's callsign being "The Diamond", and Tomoe's "The Machine". Having learned of Gabriel's fate, the society reassigned Nathalie to serve as the Shadow of Tomoe to continue where Gabriel left off with his Operation Perfect Alliance to acquire the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous for their "Perfect World Project". However, Nathalie refuses to disclose Marinette's identity as Ladybug to the society, maybe trying to protect her from their master plan.
Appearance[]
As Nathalie, she stands at an average adult height, and her eyes are a dull blue. Her hair is blue and pulled back into a bun, and the hair on the right side of her head is dyed red. On her face, Nathalie has glasses with black and red striped frames and on her eyes, she has periwinkle eye shadow. She wears a red turtleneck sweater, a black dress jacket, black pants, and black high heel shoes. She also has round creamy white earrings.
As Mayura, her eyes have pink irises and sclerae that are pink which fade into dark indigo, and there is black liner around her eyes, resembling glasses. Her skin is light indigo, and her hair is dark blue, and part of it curls up underneath her left eye. She wears a peacock feather-like cocktail hat, being blue and tear-shaped with a light pink mark in the center and a light blue, translucent veil over her right eye. She wears a blue dress with a fuzzy black collar and sleeves that end in a point on the back of her hand. The dress appears to have a set hexagonal texture. The bottom of the dress has a front slit skirt, and the end of the skirt has rounded points with dark blue, light, pink-centered spots, resembling a peacock's tail feathers. The rounded points are edged with translucent, light blue material. Underneath the dress, she has translucent indigo tights that are opaque from the knees down, making the opaque section resemble high-heeled boots. She holds a blue hand fan, which is similar in design to the end of her skirt, and a peacock feather-like object in her other hand.
As Catalyst, she has periwinkle skin. Over her head, while leaving her mouth exposed, she wears a black helmet with a red visor with black edges and a red spike pointing towards the back of her head. Catalyst also wears a black dress suit with stiff shoulders, including a dark red front and swan neck collar that features a red downward arrow-shaped section in the center. The sleeves cover her entire arms, with the tips of her fingers fading into red. Also, Catalyst has pocket-like ridges on each side of her hips, and her pant legs come down to her feet, having red high-heels, soles, and tips.
As Safari, she looks a lot like her civilian form. However, she has pale light grayish purple skin, vivd red eyes with dark purple sclera, dark purple lips, a pair of pince nez type glasses and her hair is slicked back with her red streak being more evident and vibrant. She wears a dark purple turtleneck short-sleeved sweater, a camouflage hunting short-sleeved jacket and shorts, dark purple fingerless gloves and black knee high boots with laces at the front.
