Biography[]

Uncharted[]

Nathan "Nate" Drake and his 5-year-old brother, Sam Drake lives in an orphanage in Boston after their parent's death. One night, they snuck inside a museum to steal the first map made after the Magellan expedition, but they are caught by the museum's security. Sam has been expelled after getting third strike. Nate then catches him sneaking out of the orphanage, but he promises his little brother that he will return for him. Sam leaves him with a ring belonging to their supposed ancestor Sir Francis Drake.

Fifteen years later, Nathan works as a bartender in New York City and pickpockets wealthy patrons. One night, he meets Victor "Sully" Sullivan, a fortune hunter. He reveals that he worked with Sam tracking treasure hidden by the Magellan crew and tells Nate that he has vanished and ghosted him after helping him to steal Juan Sebastian Elcano's diary. Nate, having stopped receiving postcards from Sam, agrees to help Sully find him.

They come up with a plan to steal a golden key (in the shape of a cross) linked to the Magellan crew, which is being sold at an auction. Nate prepares by studying the museum where the auction's taking place while doing his daily workout routine. He also gives Sully a cat. Nate and Sully, disguised as auction attendants, heads to the museum where they meet Santiago Moncada, the last descendant of the Moncada family, who had financed Magellan‘s expedition, and Jo Braddock, leader of Moncada's mercenaries. Sully (who has a past with Braddock) tries to distract her so Nathan can turn off the lights to allow Sully to steal the cross. While attempting to shut down the power, Nate is ambushed by Braddock's men and the ensuing fight creates a distraction for Sully to steal the cross.

The duo travel to Barcelona, where the treasure is supposedly hidden. They meet with Sully's contact, Chloe Frazer, who has the other cross. Chloe steals the first key from Nathan and runs off. After a chase, Nathan and Sully convince her to work with them. Nate, Chloe, and Sully follow clues in Elcano's diary to Santa Maria del Pi, finding a secret crypt behind the altar. After using both crosses to find the secret passageway, Nate and Chloe go under with one key, leaving the other in Sully's possession. They both end up in a bar where they are confronted by Braddock's henchmen, though they quickly escape using a diversion. Nate and Chloe then enter, finding a trap door, but as they open it, the crypt floods with water. Sully helps them escape after subduing an ambush by Braddock. Once clear, the pair find another room where both crosses are needed to unlock the door. Sully throws his cross down, and Nate and Chloe find giant urns that they believe the gold is hidden in.

Using the two keys to unlock a secret passage, Nate and Chloe find a map that indicates the treasure is in the Philippines. Chloe betrays Nathan (having originally been hired by Moncada) and takes the map, stating that Sully knows more about Sam's disappearance before knocking him out. Sully reunites with Nate and admits that after he and Sam recovered Elcano's diary, they were ambushed by Braddock; Sam was apparently shot three years prior, and Sully narrowly escaped, straining their partnership.

The next day, Nate agrees to go with Sully to finish what Sam started before going separate ways. The duo was able to secretly follow Chloe and sneak on the plane while hiding in the trunk of Moncada's red Mercedes Benz. Ten hours later, the pair searched around the plane, takes the map, and they're shock to see that Braddock betrayed and killed Moncada. Nate then confronts Braddock for killing Sam. A battle ensues when Nate accidentally opens the cargo door; Sully parachutes out with the map, while Nate and Chloe are ejected from the plane landing in the ocean before ending up at a resort in the Philippines.

At a hotel, Nate and Chloe try to find clues on the map only to find out that it doesn't pinpoint to the treasure's right location. While Chloe sleeps, Nate finds out that through his brother Sam's postcards, it contains a secret message saying, "the keys are your compass". Nate uses both crosses and finds the exact spot on the map before writing down fake coordinates for Chloe to see as he doubts her loyalties. The next day, Nate finds out that Chloe had left and double crossed him again. She left a message saying that even though she likes him, she can't trust him. Despite this, it turns out Chloe had traveled to the wrong location. Nate goes to the exact location where the treasure is at, inside two of Magellan's old ships that he used during the expedition.

After arriving at the Magellan ships, Nate reunites with Sully, who tracked his location on his phone. Braddock and her men follow them after spotting Nate traveling on a speedboat, forcing the duo to hide in one of the ships as her crew airlifts the ships. Nate and Sully defeat the mercenaries and hijack the helicopter, Braddock (who is in the other ship) order her men to follow and board the ship, but Nate manages to dispatch them and shoots down the other helicopter with a cannon. However, Braddock drops the ship's anchor, snagging the ship and helicopter in place and tries to kill Nate while he's climbing to the helicopter. As the ship is about to fall, Sully saves Nate and throws a bag full of gold at Braddock, who plunges into the sea and finally dies when the ship falls on top of her and crushes her to death. As the Philippine Navy arrive, Nate and Sully get away. While leaving, they saw Chloe on her speedboat, who realized that Nate tricked her and she is left empty handed. Nate reveals that he has a few pieces of treasure he had pocketed, giving some of his share to Sully, while reconciling their partnership in the process.

Sometime later, Nate meets with a man working for Gabriel Roman, offering his ring for a "Nazi map" he has. The man tries to betray Nate, but Sully, who has now grown a mustache on his face and started bringing his pet cat, saves him. Nate and Sully then attempts to escape, but the two gets caught by an unseen figure.
