Nautica is an Autobot from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family. A intelligent and cheerful Autobot engineer from the planet Caminus, she is an expert in quantum mechanics and her trusty wrench. Nautica is a close friend of Windblade and often appears with her, as well as on the ship Lost Light. While she is intellectual, she also possesses a sometimes childlike innocence and can be socially awkward, though she is a capable engineer who can transform into a submarine.
Nautica is hails from the colony world of Caminus and joined the Autobots due to her strong moral compass and Windblade's crew in the IDW continuity, where she acts as a quantum mechanic and ship's engineer.
