Naze Turbine is the leader of the Turbines, a subsidiary of Teiwaz, and one of the main heroes of Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS.
He is voiced by Kōsuke Toriumi in the original Japanese version and David Vincent in the English dub.
History[]
Naze formed the Turbines after marrying his first wife Amida Arca, by marrying woman to keep them safe and from having to pursue more dangerous lines of work. Naze's harem soon grew large and became the crew of his ship, the Hammerhead. While he enjoyed the company of his wives, Naze saw them more as daughters than anything else and was very protective of them. Eventually, the Turbines grew big enough that Naze signed them onto Teiwaz as a subsidiary to guarantee their protection.
Naze and the Turbines first encountered Tekkadan after they agreed to help Maruba Arkay take back his company's resources from them. After a skirmish with the Isaribi, Orga Itsuka and several of his men boarded the Hammerhead and explained the real situation to Naze. Naze promptly cut his ties with Maruba and sent him off to work for Teiwaz to repay his debts to them, before taking Orga to Teiwaz's main base so he could sign on as a subsidiary.
After Jasley Donomikals, envious of Naze's relationship with Teiwaz's boss McMurdo, framed the Turbines for smuggling an illegal Dainsleif weapon, the Turbines were declared an illegal organization by Gjallarhorn and Naze was forced to withdraw from his membership of Teiwaz. A Gjallarhorn fleet led by Iok Kujan soon showed up to put an end to the Turbines, causing Naze to order his crew to evacuate to ensure their safety. Naze attempted to surrender, but Iok ignored Naze's signals for surrender and instead ordered his forces to fire on the Hammerhead and pods carrying civilians from it with Dainsleifs. Luckily, Tekkadan showed up just in time to guard the transport and protect the civilians. Despite being ordered to evacuate, Amida chose to stay with Naze and face the Knights of Gjallarhorn with him. While Amida went out in a mobile suit, Naze had the Hammerhead do a suicide ram on Iok's fleet, successfully taking out one of his frigates.
