Ned Gerblansky is a minor character on the Comedy Central animated series, South Park. He is an old war buddy of Jimbo Kern, Stan's uncle, and is later his hunting partner. During the Vietnam War he was a helicopter pilot. During the fight in Vietnam, Ned used to have a right arm until he accidentally held on a grenade before it blew his right arm off. Ned also lost his mellifluous voice due to a laryngectomy, apparently caused by laryngeal cancer from cigarette smoking when he smoke and drank too much, and is forced to speak with an electrolarynx.
