~ Neru valuing friendship.
Neru Mikamo (美甘ネル in Japanese) is one of the characters in the 2021 roleplay game Blue Archive who studies in Millennium Science School and wields a pair of Submachine Guns. She is the head of the Cleaning & Clearing Club (C&C for short), a special operations unit of Millennium under the orders of Seminar, the student council. Contrary to her childlike appearance, her fighting power is the strongest in the academy, especially when it comes to close-quarter combat. Her temper is very rough and ferocious, making her one of the most feared students in Millennium.
She played as one of the supporting antagonists during the first chapter of the main story's second volume, "Clockwork Flower Pavane", due to conflicting goals with the protagonists despite being the good guys. However, she played as a supporting protagonist for the second chapter, working alongside the protagonists to save a friend. Later on, she played as one of the supporting protagonists for the second and third chapter of the final volume, "Where All Miracles Begin". She also played as one of the main protagonists during the "Bunny Chasers on Board" side event, where she and C&C went undercover with the mission of apprehending a runaway criminal.
Unlike the other members of C&C, Neru possesses an arrogant personality. She is very hot-tempered, sadistic towards her enemies, and loves engaging in combat. She despises complicated things, preferring things to be more straightforward rather than requiring a strategy. She hates being interfered with or being ignored. She is also particularly wary about people's certain opinions, such as how she dresses, her childlike appearance and personality, and her losses, be it in games or in missions, she will immediately become more embittered and riotous than usual.
However, despite her destructive and egotistical behavior, she has proven herself to have a heart that cares for others. She is willing to risk her life and suffer horrible injuries to protect the friends she care about, showing a loyal brother-like appearance. She also values friendship, as shown by her willingness to withstand heavy injuries to save her friends.
