Biography[]
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run[]
Nicholas Joestar was born in 1867 to a family of former British aristocrats in Kentucky with his father, George Joestar II being a wealthy owner of several farms and an acclaimed horse trainer. From an early age Nicholas had a natural talent for horse racing and record timing would gain a younger brother in 1872 named Johnny. While growing up their father showed open favoritism to Nicholas and remained strict and often times cruel to his younger brother, though Nicholas would often console Johnny and would promise that when the two got older they would travel the world and help each other when times get tough.
During one of their dinners with his family, Johnny was caught feeding his pet mouse Danny, prompting his father to punish him by ordering him to drown said mouse. Nicholas went to console Johnny and suggested that he release Danny into the woods while he would ask one of his teachers to lend him a stuffed mouse to pose it as Danny. Indeed this appeared to have worked and during the year 1881, Nicholas continued improving his horse racing ability, casually managing to run 200 meters in 17 seconds surpassing his record of 23 and 19 seconds. Shortly after his father and stable worker Diego Brando brought out the horse "Black Rose" for Nicholas to continue his training for an upcoming tournament. However, resuming his race training, Nicholas fell off Black Rose and died, as according to Diego the horse was frightened by the mouse he had released with Johnny assuming it was Danny.
Legacy[]
Seven years later, Johnny rose to fame as a skillful horse jockey, and at some point after finding the bottom of his racing boot was torn, looked to use Nicholas' as a spare for an upcoming derby. However George refused to let Johnny wear the boots claiming he had no right to Nicholas things and that even by winning this Derby it would mean nothing if he couldn't beat Diego in a race. This resulted in a fight where George was accidentally shoved into a mirror, ending with the him revealing that he wished that Johnny had died instead of his Nicholas. Two years later, during the Steel Ball Run race, Johnny would see apparition's of Nicholas and Danny blaming him for his death via the result of Axl Ro's stand ability. Much later, during the final stage of the race, George appeared in the crowd and cheered Johnny on to win holding Nicholas boots in solidarity with his son.
