Nigel Billingsley

Nigel Billingsley is a supporting protagonist in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level.

He is a Jumanji field guide created by the game. After it changed into a video game and after that he became a field guide. He is the former friend and assistant of Russell Van Pelt (A new version of the original Van Pelt from the first movie).

He was portrayed by Rhys Darby who also played Percy the Penguin in Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

He is first seen in the second movie rescuing the players Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Franklin Moose Finbar, Professor Sheldon Oberon and Ruby Roundhouse. And then he tells them what went wrong by asking brave stone to read the letter he sent him aloud.

As it is read. Dr. Bravestone I am writing to you regarding the desperate situation in Jumanji we need your help at once. My name is Nigel Billingsley Jumanji field guide. I was hired by your former partner now nemesis Professor Russell Van Pelt To lead. A faithful expedition UC professor Van Pelt had come in search of the fabled Jaguar shrine resting piece of the secret jewel of Jumanji. As you know better than anyone the Jewell was his great obsession and after years of research he believed that he had discovered its whereabouts. Van pelt told me that he wanted to find the jewel in order to document it in its ratings. What I did not know was that he intended to take the jewel for himself. Legend tells that the Jaguar watches over Jumanji and anyone who dares to blind him will be consumed by a dark power. Van Pelt assumed dominion over all of Jumanji‘s creatures possessing them controlling them and a terrible curse before the swans place land I begged him to put it back but once he had it in his grasp he could never let it go. So I waited till they slept that night and I made my move.

Then he gives them the jewels and the map and then he tells them that they must go to the bazaar to find the missing piece. And after that he tells the players that if they wish to leave the game they must save Jumanji and call out its name.

He is then seen at the end of the movie congratulating the players and sending them home after he wishes them farewell sadly.

Jumanji: The Next Level

Months later in the third movie. He comes back and sends the players on a new quest. Details or are you still married so glad he returned and once again Jumanji is in danger. He tells him that perhaps you should read his second letter allowed.

It reads Dr. Bravestone it is my solemn hope that this letter finds you for again Jumanji is in great danger we need your help at once. You see our worst nightmare has come to pass for Jurgen the brutal has returned. Indeed that most vicious Jumanji conquer is back. And he’s brought with him his savage horde they descended from their fortress on top mounts admire and made their way south toward the avian profits jewel. Home of the secret falcon Jewell worn around the neck of the village elder. The falcon is the fertility jewel of Jumanji end it has been guarded the people of the avian profits for hundreds of years so as long as the jewel can see the sun the waters will flow and the land will flourish. And if the jewel is not returned soon it will be too late. Which is why we called for you and your brilliant associates I understand the enormous weight it may carry for you Dr. brave stone how this adventure is like no other. For it is you’re getting the brutal who killed your parents.

And then after that he drops off the team in the desert and tells them to look for an oasis and follow the flame to the desert fruit. And tells them good luck because the future of Jumanji is in their hands. And then once again tells them that they wish to leave the game they must save Jumanji and call out its name. And then he gives them the map.

And he is finally seen at the end of the movie. And tells them they have saved Jumanji again he will return the jewel to the village elder and sadly this is where they parked except for Milo Walker who decides to stay in the world and watch over it.
