Heroes Overview

And now, the final question, and perhaps the most important and enlightening one. My motivations, or why I am doing this. Here at last is an answer I can give without imprecision. I am not whole in the way that others are. I am not significant in the way that others are. I am unable to affect the world in the way others are. In the most literal sense, I am a person without importance or influence - a nobody. All my efforts are an attempt to resist my very nature and undermine these truths about myself. Like all sentient beings, I desire my existence to have meaning.

I would also like to inform you that I currently act alone. However, it has come to my attention that there may be others that share my unique qualities. In the future I hope to work alongside them, although it is equally likely that I will always be merely an individual.
~ An excerpt from the "Nobody HUB".
The person known to the Foundation as "Nobody" is seen by them as a mystery, almost a force of nature. Something unpredictable that can swoop in and change an entire operation for no apparent cause. There is no rhyme or reason to why he does what he does.

Or maybe there is.
~ From the "GoI Field Guide".
There are people choking every damn day of their lives in coal mines, dreaming of the sun. There are people starving over sunbaked plains, waiting for their lives to end. I walk through those who are maimed, starved, beaten and bruised, because nobody else will. I do what I have to do to keep this broken world running so that someone, anyone, can have a lick of a chance at life.
~ Nobody in SCP-5353.
A pervasive “wrongness” stalks his footfalls, stuck behind him like the tar of the shadows that are cast from the lantern in his grasp- for he is something that does not belong. He holds no name, but there were those who called him “Nobody”. A non-name, if anything, more a statement- but humans prefer giving descriptions of things instead of leaving a blank page.
~ From "No One's Home".

Nobody is a recurring faction in the SCP Foundation series. Nobody is a title bestowed to various individuals, granting them several antimemetic properties that allow them to hide from everyone and easily sneak anywhere they wish. More often they use their identity of Nobody to keep the world and its inhabitants, humans and other anomalous beings included, safe by fighting hostile and dangerous anomalies or Groups of Interest from the shadows. Due to the nature of the SCP Foundation, Nobody can be either the organization's ally or enemy.

Nobody is the main protagonist in the "The Man Who Wasn't There" canon, and plays a major role in "The Cool War" and "Finding Asmodeus" series. They are also a central figure in the Spanish series "The Queen of Nothing".

Organization[]

Then I saw my line. I didn’t think anybody still read things these days, but they read about me, and they wrote about me. I wasn’t always the same person in every written piece, but we were all the same in our unique problem. One version of me was a young girl with a pink notebook, a few others were much older than me, a few of them were tailed by a man in a white suit and a few others were tailing other people. Some of them got started in the early 1900’s, others had been around for thousands of years. The one other thing we all had in common was that we were always a mystery. Then it struck me. People like mysteries. People like me. That little ounce of joy I got when I saw the like count on some of those articles, I felt just a smidge like a real person again. So I had to make a mystery. That’s when I found you.
~ Nobody in SCP-7043.

The real nature of Nobody as a individual or a group is shrouded in complete mystery. As a individual, Nobody usually appears as an elderly caucasian man of European descent dressed in grey and black suit or trenchcoat along with a fedora, usually SCP-268. This man may or may not be the Iteration Prime of Nobody. As an organization, Nobody is a title passed on to a individual by the previous holder, granting them anomalous properties like antimemetic ones that makes everyone around them not notice their presence. Due to them being an antimeme they cannot be perceived directly except retroactively or indirectly, and also possessed a natural resistance to other antimemes. All iterations of Nobody against their wish took the title due to either lack of social connections or ramifications on the people around them, but those aren't always necessary. Although, there isn't usually two or more iterations of Nobody at the same time, there has been several exceptions. Nobody also perceive everyone else who isn't another Nobody as Somebodies.

All of the Nobodies can access an ever changing interdimensional Nexus connected to the Winchester House in California by simply climbing some stairs. Any iteration once becoming Nobody is given a purpose to accomplish. Thanks to their antimemetic effects, the Nobodies are the perfect spies and thieves, which allow them to research and investigate various anomalies, groups and events in their scribbled notes. The title is considered a form of curse as various iterations appear to lose their real name and any memories regarding to it, making Nobody their only identity. Despite the deep ambiguity, Nobody is almost always seen as a benevolent being helping from the shadows in keeping safe the world and the innocent lives from harmful anomalies and evil groups, but of course it depends on the individual currently holding the Nobody title as they may have their own agenda.

Known Nobody Iterations[]

Breath's pawn[]

A Nobody who was the servant of the being known as the Breath of the World. The Breath, alongside the Pulse, Blood and Spine, were once part of man's arrogance which were split when the Gordian knot was cut. These four beings would go on to replace their soul by feeding on that of others, with the Breath feeding on secrets. The Breath took one man and vacated all of his memories and identity, turning him into his agent known as Nobody. Nobody under the orders of the Breath would go after various anomalies, or Aspects as referred by the Breath, for his master to judge, such as SCP-1880 and the grave of the legendary Rostam in Iran.

Mr. Nobody[]

A Little Mister appearing as a completely white sexless humanoid created by Dr. Wondertainment as a Mister without any history behind him in order to become the the perfect friend his owner chose. However, when Nobody visited Wondertainment to inspect the products, he felt terrible for the Little Mister, stating to the company's secretary that having no identity of his own and forced to adopt a random one by someone else was injustice. After Nobody left, Mr. Nobody decided to escape and find an identity of his own.

SCP-600[]

A humanoid anomaly with smooth skin that is comprised solely of muscle and rests unmoving until a human approaches it, at which point it would take the characteristics of people the person is associated with. The human would perceive SCP-600 as another normal human and the two would talk about small but important stuff. It is later revealed that it was a Nobody who secretly exited its chamber and avoided the cameras in order to deal with the Foundation and its anomalies, such as killing SCP-343 who was abusing his own powers to hurt innocent people.

Mars[]

Mars was Dr. Sophia Light's fiance who had died. Shortly after their death, Mars returned to life as a Nobody and no one was able to perceive them. They used this newfound state of existence to comfort a greaving Light and always be at her side.

SCP-055[]

A unknown individual who one day gained antimemetic properties that made everyone around them forget about their real appearance. This individual went to the Foundation to help them with this condition, but because of their properties the personnel were unable to remember their existence and so they remained forgotten in an unlocked humanoid chamber. Not knowing what else to do, the individual, now designated SCP-055, went out of its chamber from time to time to not only treat themself but also help some of the personnel in their struggles, becoming known as Nobody.

The Critic[]

This iteration of Nobody was The Critic of Are Cool Yet? who would come out of nowhere unannounced and judge AWCY?'s art pieces and often either help from time to time or straight up get rid of a troubling member. He was seen as an urban legend who only a few could witness, although one anartist was able to meet him three times and even made an interactive art piece based on him titled "Nobody Knows Me, #6239". Unbeknownst to almost everyone he was also Dr. Wondertainment, the Administrator of the Foundation, a director of the Global Occult Coalition, a reverend of the Horizon Initiative, Alexylva University's Chancellor and a Chaos Insurgency's higher up. During his role as The Critic, he went to Ruiz Duchamp's lethal exhibition in his studio where the anartist tricked the man that his art pieces were of anomalous nature and could destroy humanity. Duchamp threatened to kill the world if The Critic didn't use one of his lethal art pieces to kill himself, as revenge for creating Mr. Redd who destroyed the lives of Ruiz and his brother Pico Wilson. The Critic nearly went through this, but as he was about to kill himself Pico killed him just to spite Duchamp. Following his death, the corpse was crumpled and cleaned by his subordinate The Janitor, while his fedora that bestowed the title of Nobody fell into the possession of Agent Tangerine.

Agent Tangerine[]

A Foundation agent whose job was to act as a double agent within AWCY?, but was later discovered. While investigating Duchamp's studio he found The Critic's fedora and out of curiosity put it on his head. This turned him into the new iteration of Nobody, gaining antimemetic properties that made him invisible but also caused everyone who knew him to lose their memories about him. As Nobody he assisted the Foundation in capturing Duchamp and kept an eye on his former friends from AWCY? He later began collaborating with the GOC's Bavarian Illuminati in the Nexus of Eventide by sending them some golden apples, but when MTF Sigma-29 assaulted Eventide's factory due to the apples being turned into drugs that mutated people, Nobody prevented the Illuminati from retaliating against the MTF. After Alison Carol became the new Nobody he guided her into their base in the Winchester House where another Nobody took over the teaching.

Claire Lumineux III[]

A member of the Bright family, and previously a member of the Serpent's Hand, assisting the group with her computer skills. While talking with fellow Hand members in a online chat, a Nobody infiltrated the chat and offered her the title, granting her the powers related to Nobody while he would be freed from the "curse". She reluctantly accepted, causing the other members to forget about her and becoming unperceivable except for the abnormal members of her family.

Finnegan[]

An anomalous artist and partner of fellow anartist Jakeob Aldon. While collecting ectoplasm from the haunted Birch family home for a task he was paid, he came across a panama hat that drew his attention. Upon touching it his memories became a mess, causing him to fall unconscious and after waking back up decided to go to the Wanderer's Library. There he met another Nobody who advised him to go talk to the Serpent over his next course of actions as at that point Finnegan had forgotten his own identity. After the Serpent explained that several alternate versions of him also became Nobody against their will, Finnegan decided to remain Nobody and began going through various books within the Library to purge his old memories. However, in his attempts at removing the memories of his former self Finnegan was reminded of his painful memories, but despite this he endured and learned about SCP-921, a series of tunnels inside a mountain that contain various furniture which when used will show their history to the user in form of hallucinations and feelings, and decided to go there to give the museum his memories. As he traveled through the tunnels the Finnegan persona fought against his Nobody part. The Nobody persona attempted to finally be rid of Finnegan, but it backfired as Finnegan was able to free himself of the curse and return to his former self.

SCP-990[]

A man who appears in the dreams of Foundation personnel, warning them of future catastrophes. It is revealed that he was the Administrator of the Foundation named Fritz Williams who after stepping down from the position became a Nobody to use his powers over dreams to protect the world from the anomalies.

Alison Carol[]

A Foundation agent and partner of Robert Tofflemire who are both members of the Mobile Task Force Sigma-10, also known as "Sloth's Arm". Following her encounter with the being known as the Pit Sloth, the physical embodiment of SCP-4040, her memories were stolen to create duplicates of Site-87's personnel to replace the original ones, causing her to go into a coma. Upon waking up thanks to memeticist Ryan Melbourne, Alison discovered that she had gained the power to manipulate the narrative of reality, allowing her to change the outcome of events. She was then called by Agent Tangerine who brought her to their base in the Winchester House where he introduced her to the other Nobodies. There she met one of older Nobodies, known as the Nobody with Cloche Hat, informing her on the nature of Nobody and assigning Alison as Sloth's Pit, Wisconsin's local Nobody.

Alison Chao[]

An alternate version of the Black Queen who after becoming a Nobody decided to get her father out of the Foundation's grasp.

Joseph Cristoph[]

A former agent and expert in criminal organizations for the FBI's Unusual Incidents Unit who was assigned to go after the Chicago Spirit, gathering information about the dangerous organization, but he was soon discovered and was subsequently ambushed and murdered by the Spirit's leader Richard Chappell himself. Thankfully, Christoph returned to life as a Nobody and although he appears to have forgotten about his previous life he began secretly going after each of the Spirit's members. He was known by the Spirit as Hare 023, or the Cheshire Cat, and frantically tried to find a way to get rid of him.

SCP-4999[]

A humanoid being appearing as a man to those who are dying alone and pass the remaining time together. When O5-1 was dying, SCP-4999 showed up and revealed to him that he represented all those who were forgotten and used his power to look after those who were unloved for most of their life until the end. Once these people died, 4999 would be the only to remember and carry on the memories of them, while everyone else, including friends and family, forgot about their existence, just like what would happen to the Overseer after perishing.

SCP-5074-1[]

An intelligent sentient chimpanzee born to SCP-5074, a male chimpanzee who became aware of various anomalies and wrote their SCP files in typewriter, and Gamma, a female chimpanzee who could release radiation that caused sickness to everyone except herself and her fellow chimpanzees. Upon being born he was captured by Marshall, Carter and Dark who took advantage of his writing skills which he inherited from his father, and was severely mistreated and abused when not complying. After unlocking his radioactive properties, he managed to escape captivity, at which point he came across SCP-268. He decided to wear it and become Nobody.

Sarah Lancaster[]

A girl from a poor household who while texting to her crush suddenly became the 63rd Nobody. This caused all of her friends and family to forget about her and not recognize her which forced her to wander around alone, until she became part of the Man in the White Suit. When Nobody used Anderson Robotics' SCP-5375 to sacrifice himself and finally give the Man in the White Suit a name, the Man ceased to exist for Lancaster to be resurrected and live happily with her identity back.

Louie Debs[]

A homeless person who unknowingly became the 29th Nobody, causing him to be drawn to go from town to town, until he became part of the Man in the White Suit. When Nobody used Anderson Robotics' SCP-5375 to sacrifice himself and finally give the Man in the White Suit a name, the Man ceased to exist for Debs to be resurrected and live happily with his identity back.

Fritz Obermayer[]

A German veteran who lived during and after the Second World War. Following the war he unwillingly became the eighth Nobody, losing his name and identity. After some time had passed he was finally released from the title, but didn't regain his identity, leaving him to live aimlessly without an identity. His story seemingly came to a close when he got involved with a confrontation between Nobody and the Man In The White Suit, becoming part of the latter. When Nobody used Anderson Robotics' SCP-5375 to sacrifice himself and finally give the Man in the White Suit a name, the Man ceased to exist for Obermayer to be resurrected and live happily with his identity back.

Nathan Bridges[]

A poor man living in the year 2077 who was uncared by no one. While traversing the technologically advanced city he unknowingly became the 144th Nobody and because people without identity were considered illegal he was forced to escape from the authorities. Wanting to make amends for the people who had lost their identities to him, Nobody went after Anderson Robotics' SCP-5375 which could create a name for someone who had lost it. He promised to the Man in the White Suit, now a heavily modified cyborg, that they could use the machine to regain their names, but as they were being confronted by the Foundation, he sacrificed himself for the Man to be given a name. The Man ceased to exist for Bridges to be resurrected and live happily with his identity back.

SCP-5877[]

A worldwide group of people, including very young children, whose origin and identity had been completely lost and were unperceivable to anyone. Prior to 2007 all of these individuals could only be discovered after they had died amid other named victims in grave accidents, usually labeled simply as John and Jane Does. After 2007, numerous living instances of SCP-5877 were found by the Foundation, and was discovered that one of them had the capacity to become the new Nobody. One such instance was a little girl who was observing an illegal mining operation in Texas using 54 instances as slaves. It was raided by the Foundation in May 14th of 2009, during which time Agent Tyler Maliz encountered the girl and had her contained but she escaped. In July 22nd of 2013, the girl led MTF Theta-15 to a homeless shelter containing 74 instances in order for the Foundation to give them an identity. In December of 2018, Nobody oversaw an orphanage in Romania to help child instances be adopted before the Foundation raided it. On July 18th of 2023, on her twenty-sixth birthday, Nobody allowed herself to be caught by the Foundation and indirectly led them to save 30 instances that were being held captive by the Man in the White Suit and Mrs. Englewood, at which point she was released from the Nobody title and forgot everything she did during this time.

Charles Gears[]

An alternate version of Dr. Gears from Timeline of T-6722 in which an EK-class scenario happened that resulted in the demise of humanity. Gears was able to escape unscathed by erasing his memories through amnestics and fleeing to an alternate universe, Timeline L-99, where he became Nobody after forgetting who he was. Wanting his memories back he made an arrangement with some Foundation personnel to go together to the Richardson Island where people could experience their memories throughout time but also grow additional limbs if they stay for too long. His plans didn't go exactly as planned due to the Black Queen hijacking the boat, but nonetheless the two decided to temporarily collaborate as both of them wanted to go to the same destination. Upon arriving to the island Gears finally remembered who he was and apologized to the alternate version of his daughter for abandoning her. Unfortunately, after leaving the island they forgot everything that had happened and were soon ambushed by an MTF. Luckily, the Black Queen managed to incapacitate the MTF and having secretly stolen Gears' notebook, she offered to give it to them in exchange for letting the duo go. The MTF reluctantly agreed and after getting away Gears and the Black Queen bid farewell to each other and went their separate ways.

PoI-4887[]

One of the few living Daeva who betrayed their people and began assisting Nobody in the modern times. They investigated the Christian Ministries of America and the living Daevite Covenants of monsters who could wear the skin of their victims to blend in public. However, they were eventually caught by Orvo of the Verdant Covenant.

Louise Morris[]

A woman from London who suddenly and unwillingly became a Nobody, losing her boyfriend in the process. Following the cessation of SCP-6500, an event that was neutralizing all of the anomalies due to the Foundation containing most of them, Morris became curious about the Foundation's role in the event. She infiltrated a satellite facility for Site-19 where she learned from Researcher Sanderson about several anomalies that were destroyed and deceased which were gone for good. This made Morris realize that she herself could have also died because of the Foundation, and so she broke inside a lab and gathered any documents relating to SCP-6500. From the documents, Morris learned about another Nobody infiltrating the site Dr. Dan was and O5-0 who had tried to warn the Foundation about SCP-6500 but was refuted and locked up in Site-01. Needing to find additional information, Morris went to the Chicago museum to access a Way to the Wanderer's Library, but was nearly caught by the security. While going through the memetic profundities section of the Library, Nobody was approached by Docent Ignatius Dugan who informed her about one Nobody who would be in Paris. There she met with the Nobody, who she nicknamed Barry, and he explained their exact nature and invited her join him, Allison Chao and her friend the mage Amy Corwin in breaking O5-0 out.

They went back to the Library to pinpoint Site-01's exact location and discuss their strategy. Morris was able learn from a traitorous Foundation archaeologist Dr. Laura Cruz the location of the Site underneath the Sabattis Christian Parish, Hamilton County, New York. With this information, she, Barry and a Serpent's Hand mage named Ana went to the location and after three days of observation, the mage called her fellow Hand member Kimori to make an artificial Way to get back out. Once geared up with Foundation armor and coveralls, the four of them infiltrated the site and made their way to O5-0's cell. Just as they were about to break them out, the alarm went off, and MTF Alpha-1 soon arrived. They attempted to buy Barry enough time to unlock the cell, but during the crossfire Kimori was killed while Morris was injured. Fortunately, the former Overseer was able to use their thaumaturgic powers to immediately open the Way and escape to the Library. There O5-0 decided to form a plan to take down the O5 Council.

Damien Nowak[]

The former leader of a cult known as "The Children" worshiping an entity known as the "Father" and determined to return the stolen lands to the Faeries and the Children of the Night. After being hunted down and killed by his former student, Daniel Asheworth, and the other Foundation personnel from Site-120, Nowak returned to life thanks to SCP-5572 and was bestowed the title of Nobody by the benevolent being known as the Inventor. As Nobody Nowak and his allies went after the evil Faerie deity, Queen Mab.

Brynn[]

This right here. This is all I desire. To meet others in these liminal spaces where my identity isn’t that important and I can get to know their stories. I am not some…entity of destruction, agent. I am a traveler. A wanderer. A lover of people and their stories.
~ Nobody from "The Lampeter Limited".

A Nobody from Universe Lambda-495 who one day they suddenly lost their identity and became completely forgotten by everyone they knew. This Nobody originally lived in Paris but when they slept they would find themself somewhere else, having mysteriously traveled to Tokyo. Going to Hokkaido there they found SCP-7005, the multidimensional transport network known as Lampeter, and having no other purpose in their home reality decided to travel to other universes in an attempt to become somebody again. They ended up traveling to countless realities, hoping to find a permanent home where they could be remembered for far more longer, but each time they began transferring to a new universe Nobody would inevitably be forgotten all over again, forcing them to return to Lampeter which they came to see as their true home. During their travels they came across on numerous occasions Foundation Agent Benetti who was originally assigned to follow them, only to slowly befriend each other. After failing to find a permanent residence and friend group, along with gaining and losing various names like Rori, Sage, Quinn, Brynn, Alex, Kai and Remi, Nobody came to terms that they would always be a Nobody and gave up on gaining an identity, being content on just traveling through Lampeter and witnessing the stories of other fellow travelers.

Bear[]

A sentient bear which became Nobody in 1933 and fought against the Foundation. As the Foundation's Mobile Task Force Alpha-1 began persecuting what was left of the Chicago Spirit in the Chappell Manor, the bear assisted the Spirit in fighting off the Foundation forces, believing the criminal organization to be better than those they deemed fascists. The bear was able to keep MTF Alpha-1 at bay for some time, but eventually the Foundation forces slowly managed to overwhelm him and offered Chappell to teleport him to safety, only for the latter to refuse as he wished to stand by his comrades in their last moments. With that the bear left the losing battle, but unfortunately the Foundation managed to mortally wound him, and as he died he went back to the woods to die a peaceful death. In his last moments, the woods spoke to the bear, comforting him and asking if they could become the new Nobody. The bear decided to pass the title of Nobody to the woods, and after dying the title was relinquished to them.

Woods[]

The living essence of a forest and its animals that became a Nobody after gaining it from the bear. As the bear laid dying following the Foundation's attack, the woods spoke to him, telling him he did good and could peacefully pass away. Wishing to exist as an individual, the woods asked the bear to receive the title of Nobody from him, and although the bear was unsure how that would work he relented. Upon dying, the universe passed the title to the woods, causing the nearby flora to be infused with the essence of the animals and transform into a beastly man. Now the new Nobody, the woods in his humanoid form went to continue the bear's job.

Glass[]

A trans man who lived in 19th century, nicknamed Glass as in mirror to act as a reflection for people who he confronted. One heavy rainy night, he alongside other gentlemen, musician Lacroix, explorer Klein and medical student Ashcroft, went inside collectionist De Corbiac's mansion for shelter. They all began getting along together, although Klein was being somewhat problematic, while Glass not being very social was sometimes forgotten in the background during discussions. As the weather worsened, all of the gentlemen were forced to stay in the mansion, but they didn't really mind. When Lacroix began practicing his strange musical instruments he had discovered in ancient ruins, Glass became interested in a particular instrument of his and got hold of that instrument which they began playing. This song turned out to be SCP-407, a song that transforms listeners into vegetation, which Lacroix hoped to use in resurrecting his deceased daughter, but soon it caused things to become stranger as the grass outside had abnormally grown during one night and the wooden furniture had grown buds.

The gentlemen astounded by the sight of this decided to throw a drunken party, but while passing time the egg-shaped rocks in De Corbiac's possession hatched living birds made out of minerals, shocking everyone except for Glass. In the ensuing days they became trapped in the mansion as the exit road was flooded, taking toll on everyone involved except for Glass. Klein confronted Glass about the events, having an intuition that Glass' music was the cause of this. Glass promised that things would soon turn to normal, but Klein fearing that they would all die attempted to assault him, only for Glass to bite his ear off. After escaping, Glass was met with Ashcroft who attempted to comfort him but also to understand what was really going on with him. Glass explained who he was as Nobody and allowed Ashcroft to peer into him, exciting and disturbing the young man. The next day, Glass was able to convince Lacroix to abandon the song and come to terms with his loss, allowing everyone to finally leave the building. However, Glass donning a prosthesis with cords which acted as a musical instrument created by the same creator of SCP-351-FR, began playing the music somewhere else, prompting both Klein and Ashcroft to go looking for them. Klein attempted to kill him, but is incapacitated, but nonetheless the music began causing Glass to transform into a tree. In that moment, Ashcroft arrived and as Glass' objective was completed he lost his identity and against his will became the new Nobody.

Lefty[]

A Russian inventor who took the pseudonym from The Tale of Cross-eyed Lefty from Tula and the Steel Flea. He creates anomalous devices and substances to supply criminal gangs but despite this he always leaves kind letters on his creations. He was present in the formation of the Foundation, but saw that the organization was using amnestics to manipulate memory to hide the fear from humanity and in his opinion the reason they had to protect humanity. As Lefty and those who founded the Foundation came from people who were considered nobodies, he called himself a Nobody and became determined to abolish the Veil of Secrecy until killing himself near the end of his life.

Relationship with anomalous factions[]

Nobody appears to have a complicated relationship with the SCP Foundation. Whenever the two parties get involved, Nobody either helps the Foundation contain a dangerous anomaly that threatens innocent lives or impede the organization when the latter tries to contain a useful and necessary anomaly that should be left alone. The same goes for the Global Occult Coalition, although the GOC seems to be always antagonistic towards Nobody, while the Foundation is willing to accept Nobody's help on certain occasions.

Nobody once collaborated with the Chaos Insurgency in raiding a Foundation site, compromising the site from the inside to allow the Insurgency to easily takeover it.

Nobody has had hostile interactions with both the Church of the Broken God and The Factory. Nobody is also antagonistic to Marshall, Carter and Dark.

Nobody has a close relationship with the Oneiroi Collective which can be interpreted as a form of friendship. Nobody would dwell into the dreamworld and aid the Oneroi by fighting the monsters plaguing the dreams, such as the Old Gods, and fixing the damages, or wounds, done to the dreams, and in exchange the Oneroi would give Nobody fragments of memories belonging to previous dreamers.

Nobody appears to have a good, albeit one-sided, relationship with the Manna Charitable Foundation, as he once under the name of Joe Benefactor aided MCF worker Maria Nwosu in perfecting some talismans that would be used to protect a poor village in Africa.

The Critic's iteration of Nobody was not only the leader of Are Cool Yet? and Dr. Wondertainment, but also the Foundation's Administrator, one of the GOC's directors, the Horizon Initiative's reverend, Alexylva University's Chancellor and one of the Insurgency's higher ups.

The Imperial Japanese Anomalous Matters Examination Agency found some documents in Honshu, Japan, in the year 1949, left by Nobody and his successor, a former reporter for the Thrilling Adventures Magazine.

In MEMORANDUM 083 REGARDING PROJECT "GUARDIANSHIP" the Office for the Reclamation of Islamic Artifacts once captured Nobody, but he later managed escape from them.

Agent Joseph Christoph was formerly a member of the Unusual Incidents Unit before becoming a Nobody and going after the Chicago Spirit.

Nobody appears to have a good relationship with Wilson's Wildlife Solutions, and even entrusted them with their anomalous pet goat Cognito, or how would be referred to by WWS as Vizzie.

Nobody sometimes frequents the Parawatch's online forums, not only for investigating other potential anomalies, but to also dissuade members from looking into these cases in order to ensure their safety.

Trivia[]

  • Several Foundation personnel have put the blame on Nobody for mistakes or accidents of their own, as stated in "Nobody Knows".
  • Nobody was originally created by author Kain Pathos Crow with the idea of a single secret agent dealing with global conspiracies. The concept of Nobody would later be expanded upon by another author EverettMann.
  • In the tale "Mister Nobody", a iteration of Nobody is depicted as having been three children on top of one another wearing a trenchcoat similar to SCP-018-J and playing around as an adult.
  • In the tale "The Woman Who Wasn't There", it is shown that there are currently around 35 different Nobodies, including himself. With Alison included that makes 36. In "Hello, My Name Isn't", it is revealed that there had been thus far 144 different Nobodies, but a large number of them had since been released from the position or died, becoming part of the Man in the White Suit.
  • In SCP-001 (Captain Kirby's Proposal), O5-13/The Pedestrian as his job of meeting with various GoIs he often met with Nobody. One of their meetings caused the Overseer to be absent in the O5 Council's latest meeting which ended in O5-1 killing all of the present Overseer, meaning that the meeting with Nobody had inadvertently saved O5-13.
  • It is hinted in "SCPoems" that Nobody is aware of the true nature of SCP-000 as a Pattern Screamer.
  • In "Everbody Dreams", Nobody inexplicably dreamt about the battle between Mekhane and Yaldabaoth, SCP-076-2's hellish torment, a teenager from the Class of '76, a nearly dead individual witnessing reality malfunctioning, Researcher Rosen going about his daily life before becoming involved in a containment breach, the UIU forming as a response to the Foundation, SCP-173 and in the end an owl preparing to hunt.
  • In the tales SCP-0166 and "This Is How We Build Revelation", Nobody fills the role of the Kind Man.
  • In the comedic meta tale "Nobody's Observations on Rejected Nobody Applications", the Nobody entity interviews various individuals for a new potential host, which included Cap'n Nobooty, Snowbody, Cowbody, Captain Nobody, Notag (a character from a 2015 canon), Drunkbody, Kaiju Nobody, a member of the Black Rabbit Company, a Foundation doctor whose name was redacted, The Critic again and a dog, but were all rejected.
  • The tale "Nobody there, but the thing-in-itself", which is about Nobody dealing with an anomalous object that hid itself by changing its appearance and interacted with the world more than them, served as a reflection of the character of Nobody.
  • In "Tim Wilson KILLS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE!!!", Nobody was the last individual to be killed by Tim Wilson using the Scarlet King as his Stand. However, before dying Nobody pointed out to Wilson that he was supposed to kill the characters from Marvel Universe and not from the SCP one.
  • In "Technical Issues", a Foundation doctor known as Dr. Nobody is seen complaining that no one notices them, most likely due to their office being near SCP-055. It is unknown if this individual has any connection to Nobody.
  • In "Crooked Kingdom", Nobody was a homeless orphan who fell in love with an aristocratic lady who was afflicted with therianthropy. He grew to become a hunter and swore to protect his love, but failed as the Foundation hunters killed her, causing him to lose all emotion and try to exact revenge on them.
  • According to the "List of Common Anomalous Misconceptions", people believed that Odysseus was the first ever Nobody, but it turned out to not be true.
