History and its interpretations of Nobody from the SCP Foundation.

Possible Origins[]

Perfect[]

Nobody is the living physical embodiment of the Foundation's justifications of their catastrophic mistakes. As the Foundation personnel were prone to make many mistakes in their job, Nobody came into existence to help with fixing them. However, in time his purpose grew outside of covering up the Foundation's mistakes and as he was blamed for several of their mistakes, Nobody began outright causing them, not out of malice but for the Foundation to understand and get better. Although he would fight against the various agents from normalcy-preserving groups, Nobody only did this when they didn't leave him alone.

The Man In The White Suit[]

It is unknown exactly how the entity known as Nobody came to be, but it arose sometime before World War II in Germany. This title suddenly bestowed itself to various people who belonged to the low poor class of people with poor economy, ignored and uncared by most of society. These type of individuals ranged from overlooked impoverished workers and soldiers, jobless people, and neglected teenagers, basically social nobodies who didn't matter to the majority of the population and whose existence could be easily forgotten completely by everyone.

Upon becoming a Nobody that person and everyone else who knew them would forget their real name and existence, forcing the new Nobody to wander through the world alone while never being recognized or even perceived. They would somehow know what their purpose given by the universe would be which was that of a handyman preventing cataclysms and looking after those people like them who weren't given a name. However, as Nobody exchanged different hosts, the forgotten identities of the previous iterations would form another similar individual, only known as the Man In The White Suit, who held strong antipathy against Nobody for taking away these identities and relentlessly hunted down each new iteration.

SCP-5555[]

The position of Nobody was created for Dr. Everett Mann by powerful immortal beings who used the SCP universe and its inhabitants as just a playboard game with roleplaying for their own entertainment, disguising themselves as the leaders of various GoIs which were nothing more than just roles these entities took and exchanged. Since Mann had discovered their true nature, the entities made him one of their own and gave him the role of Nobody to win the game by hunting them each round. Seemingly unbeknownst to the entities, Mann had left notes for his successor in hope of ending this madness.

Activities[]

Nobody first came to the SCP Foundation's attention in 1955 when they, under the guise of a Foundation agent, met with another agent and gave him a letter introducing themself. In the letter for the Foundation, Nobody introduced themself as a individual lacking any form of identity and expressed his desire to only help those dealing with the anomalous world regardless if the organization accepted this or not.

A Nobody missing one of their arms was present in a containment breach in Site-55. They entered the Personnel Offices where they met Junior Researcher Jay Everwood who attempted to tend to their injury. As Everwood went to retrieve a first aid kit, Nobody figured that Everwood was a closeted non-binary person. This caught Jay off guard, but they confirmed it to be the case, expressing confusion over their identity. Nobody offered to help them with the issue, but at the cost of replacing their arm with Jay's. Everwood accepted, and Nobody magically transfered their arm over to them. Nobody thanked Jay for giving them their arm before going out through the door, leaving Everwood to immediately fall unconscious.

Following an explosion at a Marshall, Carter, and Dark cloning facility, Nobody went to investigate it. Figuring out that it was caused by someone who was against MC&D and had the resources to destroy one of their more valuable facilities, Nobody decided to seek that person out to find a possible ally. He checked out various estates of rich businessmen who were frequent customers of MC&D's clones, and while making his way to Mr. Filmore Thoroughwood's estate Nobody came across the aftermath of a failed car chase, with a car filled with clones having been chased by Thoroughwood's armed guards before crashing into a tree. Nobody helped the clones by fending off the guards and allowing them to escape. The clones were accompanied by the now knocked out arsonist who had destroyed the facility and Mr. Thoroughwood who had been shot by the former. After leaving Mr. Thoroughwood at a hospital, Nobody and the clones with the unconscious activist found a safe place to rest for the time being. Nobody learned that the activist was an ex-employee of MC&D named Eugene Thacker who had been friends with the clones' creator and was disgusted by their treatment which led to him destroying the facility and leaving his statement in the form of a note. Figuring that Eugene wasn't that much of a capable person, simply decided to help him and the clones he rescued travers through the state and form a new business to rival MC&D. Eugene and the clones would go to a ware house in Seattle where Nobody's contact, Hiroyuki Watanabe, helped them settle in and found Inevitability Industries.

During his mission in tracking down the MC&D mercenary known as the Boomer, Agent Harken was visited in his room by Nobody. Nobody confronted the Foundation agent's decision to lie to a GOC squad about SCP-353's location to locate Boomer, and endangering lives and allowing MC&D to claim the anomaly. He warned Harken to be more careful in this war and make up his mind on which side he is on, before proceeding to disappear into the bathroom.

A female Nobody, who was a friend of Dr. Wondertainment's Emma Aieselthorpe-Brown, was summoned by Emma to help her in saving Isabel after she was lost in the realm of the Scarlet King. Nobody went to a distant and undiscovered cold planetoid where the presence of the goddess Sanna. The goddess wished for the means to get her revenge on the Scarlet King, in response Nobody promised her to make Isabel the weapon to kill the King. As the Scarlet King's army arose from their dimension and went to destroy creation, Emma, empowered with Nobody's powers, went to his realm and fought the monstrosities there, but she was eventually overwhelmed. Luckily for her, Isabel came to her rescue, and knowing that she had to do she and other six warriors went on to finally kill the Scarlet King.

When Eric and his friends went to see a theatrical performance of The Hanged King's Tragedy, they like the rest of the audience went mad and began slaughtering each other. Fortunately, Eric was able to temporarily regain his senses and attempted to flee but was confronted by the Ambassador of Alagadda. Nobody suddenly came in and immediately helped Eric by bringing him outside for the authorities to find and rescue him.

In his investigation on various SCPs, Nobody came across an entry on Alastair Grey in the Foundation database. This caused him to be targeted by the Alastair Grey entity, making everyone forget about Nobody and slowly taking away the information from his mind. This manifested in hand prints appearing on the walls surrounding Nobody, forcing him to write everything he currently knew and use mnestics and a mix of cocaine and adderall to keep himself moving. He rapidly skimmed through the Antimemetics Division's database using MTF Pi-10's password and discovered a weapon in the Tactical Theology's possession which could possibly destroy the entity. In order to make his way to the site containing the weapon he decided to go through the Wanderer's Library. However, during his way to the nearest Way, Alastair Grey took possession of the people surrounding him to attack him. To make matters worse, Nobody's memory of the Knock that was used to open the Way was lost and with no other way he decided to use a dangerous ritual to access the Library.

The ritual worked and thanks to him becoming even more unperceivable no one noticed the damage it caused in the Library. Unfortunately, Nobody's time was running out as his mind was beginning to lose big chunks of memory. Upon exiting the Library he hijacked a car to drive to the site until he forgot how to use it. Against all odds, he managed to infiltrate the site and find the weapon named "The Lion" which served to destroy "Jungian Archetypes", but could do it by aiming at the host of the entity. Figuring that the hand prints wouldn't be enough a host, Nobody attacked one of the possessed people with the mnestics, making them perceive him. He led them to the weapon and activated. What happened afterwards is unknown as Nobody was unable to remember any of it but he was presumably successful in getting rid of Alastair Grey.

Hearing rumors in the Library, Nobody infiltrated a small Foundation site to investigate it. He easily managed to bypass security and reach the superintendent's computer containing files solely reserved for the O5 Council. Finding them interesting he quickly copied the files into his anomalous tablet produced by The Factory. Unfortunately for him, on his way out Nobody was ambushed by an MTF equipped with goggles that allowed them to see him. Upon waking up, Nobody found himself strapped to a chair and stripped to his underwear, before being interrogated by a couple of Foundation personnel. They asked him why he searched for information pertaining to Project Palisade, but he revealed that he didn't know anything about the project and simply researched what he thought was interesting. In light of this, the personnel amnesticized him and left him in a park. Luckily, he retained most of his memories and soon planned to find an alternate way to gain access to those files. He sneaked into the site again and managed to snatch a laptop that allowed him to see the files which were about various K-Class scenarios related to alternate realities.

After spotting several UFOs on ET highway, Nobody received a packaging containing five bars of SCP-148, three bars of Mekhanium and one cylinder of anti-matter. However, the Unusual Incidents Unit had secretly recorded the transaction, forcing Nobody to destroy the evidence and amnesticize the agents. Although that was done, he was later abducted by some cyborg aliens named the "Children of Mekhane" who desired the Mekhanium. Fortunately, he was able to escape and crash their ship in order to get down. He managed to fend off the aliens and reclaim the materials which he had hid from the incoming Foundation agents.

Wanting to get involved in a new mystery, Nobody attacked a MC&D transport truck containing gloves that granted their wearer incredible luck, designated SCP-7043. With a pair of these gloves, Nobody infiltrated Site-19 through the back garage and arrived at the Department of Pataphysics. Having learned about Murphy Law Nobody climbed into the NarrativeJumper in order to be transported into Law's story and mess with the fictional detective. Once inside the story, Nobody manipulated the director of the fictional Site-19 August to meet up with the fictional version of O5-7, allowing Nobody to take the Overseer out before stealing the fictional SCP-231-7. This version of the Foundation soon asked Murphy Law to help them solve the mystery of who had done this, prompting the detective to go over everything related to this event. However, he was then set up by the Foundation, leading to Law running from the authorities, but still determined to hunt down the one responsible for all of this.

Having left clues for Law to follow, the detective was able to locate Nobody at the Aria Hotel and Casino where the latter was staying after wining two jackpots. Nobody waited had been waiting for Law in a balcony and after finally confronting each other Law demanded to know why he did any of this. Nobody explained that ever since he became a Nobody, he craved to regain his meaning and sought to achieve this by inserting himself in an interesting story. Law then attempted to take Nobody in for the crime he had committed, but Nobody wasn't done yet as their story needed a finale and so he gave another pair of SCP-7043 to Law in order to give him a chance at capturing him. Nobody leaped from the roof and fell into a garbage truck filled with spring mattresses and as it drove off Nobody climbed around the truck and forced the driver so he could get away. Luckily, Law managed to get into Fred's limousine and began chasing Nobody down just as the police and the Foundation arrived. During the chase, Law jumped off the limo's roof to grab the truck's handles and thanks to his augmented luck he managed to throw the mattresses into the road and get rid of the police and the Foundation. He then climbed over to the truck's windshield and as he attempted to break with his kicks to get to Nobody the driver of Foundation's van shot one of the truck's back tires, causing it to slow down and slide right. Nobody immediately opened the door and jumped onto Fred's limo, prompting Law to jump back to the roof of the limo. At Law's command Fred stopped the car causing the two to tumble over to the front and on the highway. Law immediately tackled Nobody down and after forcefully removing the gloves from his hands he shot the man in the chest. Despite dying, Nobody was satisfied with the experience, but as passed away told Law that another Nobody would emerge.

Possible Endings[]

Quiet Days[]

One day, for unknown reasons, every single anomaly which ever existed was either neutralized or normalized, much to the shock of all of the GoIs. This also included Nobody who was never seen or heard again.

1[]

As the entire world was slowly being destroyed, Nobody, just like everyone else, completely perished.

Mission Statement[]

When a universe devouring entity began to consume the Foundation's universe the Foundation decided to move the solar system to another universe in order to survive. However, this caused the sun to be weakened, leaving SCP-499 to die. In order to keep the sun moving the Foundation began cloning SCP-499 and keep the public from knowing anything. When the 55th clone of 499 began dying, SCP-990 visited him in his dream in order to comfort him, and stated that he himself would join him soon.

Universal Collision[]

One day, Universe Golf-Alpha-Sierra-64 and Universe Golf-Alpha-Sierra-63 collided with each other, creating SCP-3582 which caused the geometries to overlap or duplicate, the Ways working incorrectly and sending people to alternate universes and two organisms merging into one abomination. Nobody attempted to resolve the problem by separating the two universes somehow, but seeing it was nearly impossible to achieve this they decided that best course of action was to simply evacuate to another universe. It is unknown what happened after as all reality soon descended into chaos.

On the Path Nobody Knows[]

One day the Armageddon occurred on the world, wiping out most of the human race. One survivor, a new iteration of Nobody who had forgotten most of their past, came upon an abandoned chapel which had a still functioning terminal holding the Horizon Initiative's holy texts of The Travels of St. Dracios To the Lands of Jarad, Chapter 16 and The Fourth Letter of Nayvidius. Nobody, wanting to ensure the survival of the last remnants of the Old World, memorized the stories told in the text and moved on exploring the new state of the world.

This Toy Facsimile of Life[]

As the entire world was being invaded by The Factory, Dr. Wondertainment's Wonder World was the only stronghold left. The company's owner, Cornelius Młynarczyk, wrote a letter to his niece Holly Light which would reshape the universe in his peaceful ideal world, and summoned Nobody to deliver it to her. After witnessing the battle between Wondertainment's and The Factory's forces, Nobody made their way through Wonder World, avoiding destruction and enemies. They were able to exit Wonder World through the Way and into the destroyed world mostly overtaken by The Factory. Horrified at the state of the world, Nobody was still determined to accomplish their task and carefully traversed the industrialized land towards the school where Holly Light was staying.

Using their shapeshifting skills to infiltrate the school, Nobody was eventually able to meet with Holly. The two sneaked past the robotic guards and hid themselves up in one of the few standing trees. Nobody assured Holly that everything would be okay and gave her the letter. As she read it, the entire universe was undone and soon a new one in which she was the current director of the company. Nobody would also be reborn in this new iteration of reality as their usual self, and becoming acquainted with Dr. Wondertainment again.

A Day Notable to Nobody[]

Around the year 2022, after a Broken Masquerade occurred following the disappearance of North Korea, Nobody in the form of a gray and pink brain creature with tendrils attached to the computer system of a Foundation site, began consuming the memories of everyone around the world, causing a collective memory loss phenomenon on a worldwide scale which was designated SCP-3848. Sending a humanoid projection of itself to various locations, it first affected the personnel at Site-42, making them forget that it was Halloween at the time. Things soon escalated quickly, and after several failed attempts at stopping the destruction, humanity was forced to abandon Earth and expand throughout space.

Thrive[]

As the majority of humanity began transcending into gods due to SCP-3396, causing the slow destruction of Earth, SCP-990 visited a frustrated O5-1 in his bunker. Since they both were about to die, O5-1 asked 990 why didn't he warn them of this, with 990 answering that it wasn't for the greater good anymore.

Doctors Of The Church[]

Following a IK-Class "Collapse of Global Civilization" Scenario, also known as the "Great Breach", which regressed all of human to a medieval state, the Administrator was able to survive and persevere. In the aftermath of the calamity the Administrator went mad from the loss of the Foundation, and began wandering aimlessly through the world. At some point he came across the province of Kannada, where he saw how the descendants of his employees and other inhabitants lived peacefully with the anomalies and worked together to keep evil at bay, which made him realize how wrong he was for containing all anomalies in existence. With this revelation the former Administrator sought to correct his wrongdoings, and left with nothing else except for SCP-262, he took the mantle of Nobody. Seeing how the psychopathic Jack Bright ruled the SCP of the Holy Foundation with an iron fist, Nobody sought a way to bring him and his wicked kingdom down. The opportunity came when Nobody got hold of a scroll describing the Sacred Containment Procedures of Bright's amulet, from which he learned that it had fallen in the hands of Marscar the Dark, the three leaders of MC&D who had fused into an evil dragon that governed the island Uk which used to be Great Britain. He decided to find the amulet in order to use SCP-4514 to kill Bright for good, but to do that he required a group a skilled individuals to assist him in this mission.

In Utgard, a land freed from the control of the Galaxy SCP of the Holy Foundation following its occupation by the Chaos Insurrection, Nobody began gathering some skillful warriors to help him kill Marscar the Dark. He found four warriors willing to listen to his quest, former D-caste turned bandit Perrin the Badger, his orc partner Arcos the Hammerlast, wizard Moritz of the Serpent's Hand, and the Knight of the Order of Saint Talloran Horatius. He told them all to come meet him at the Pinioned Pegasus tavern at midnight, but when talking to Horatius inside of Saint Talloran's shrine, they were eavesdropped by Geva, a twelve year old homeless girl with the magical powers of her own who decided to follow them. When the time came, Nobody entered the now empty tavern where he was greeted by his four recruits, though Geva was also hiding in the shadows. He told them that their mission was to assist him in slaying Marscar the Dark, which baffled most of the attendants as not only it would be impossible to succeed in such a task but had no way to Uk. Nobody elaborated that there was a way through Portland, and promised them fortune and glory if they were to succeed, while he only wished to get rid of an old enemy. Eventually, everyone were convinced, but before they could continue with their plan Nobody pointed at Geva, causing the girl to attempt to flee. Nobody managed to grab one of her arms and brush off her magic tricks to let her go, demanding to know what she was doing here. Geva told the crew she was just curious, and believing she posed no threat to their plan's secrecy Nobody allowed her to leave the tavern. Following her departure, the men continued with their plan, with Nobody giving the others instructions on what to do once they arrived to Uk, such as where to find SCP-2307-01 which could be used to slay Marscar the Dark.

With their plan set, Nobody's crew and their mule made their way to the Porthead Light the next day, only to be met by Geva again who now wished to join them. She tries to convince them to let her join by demonstrating her magical capabilities, but none of them were impressed and proceeded to open a Way to Portland inside the lighthouse. This forced Geva to proclaim herself to be the reincarnated Witch of Arnven which caught the crew's attention. She proceeded to tell them her backstory, how she started as a street thief who was revered as a princess by the people of Arnven which led to her leaving the city out of boredom. Horatius was able to see she was telling the truth, but Perrin refused to let a child come with them, angering Geva. She furiously proclaimed to be the Witch and not just a child, which coincided with a nearby thunderclap, which finally convinced Nobody to bring her with them, much to the others' dismay. The six of them entered the lighthouse where they prepared themselves for the journey before Moritz began preparing a ritual to open the Way. Each member of the band sacrificed a drop of their blood for the Way to open, appearing as a black circle on the floor, and one by one they jumped through it.

They arrived in Portland which laid in complete ruin and darkness, and as they traversed the abandoned ancient city they came across a barely functioning security golem and robot which activated streetlights of a specific road. The group easily destroyed the golem, while the robot used the last bits of energy it had to deliver the last message the citizens received about the Great Breach. Nobody figured that Portland's Mayor wished to meet them, so Nobody lead his band through the illuminated road, moving past a graveyard and arriving to a strange building. The double doors of the building's entrance swung open on their own, revealing a hazy yellow glow, and looking at Nobody realized that the Mayor, the living land Portland was build on, wished for them to stay here forever. Nobody instructed everyone to hurry to the Jurassic District before the Mayor mads them its permanent citizens. They ran through the streets, causing the Mayor to manifest an avatar out of debris and chase them down. He threw debris at the group to slow them down, and sank their feet into the cobbles, trapping all of them as it demanded they remain here for the rest of their lives. Nobody refused, extending numerous arms out of his cost that everyone's throats, including his own, threatening the Mayor to kill themselves if it didn't let them go. He then suggested the Mayor a compromise, if the crew was free to go then Nobody would remain in Portland, since both of them were quite similar. The Mayor accepted and freed the rest, allowing them to go to the Portland Castle which contained the Way to Uk. The crew quickly made their move, except for Horatius who wanted to talk to Nobody one last time after learning that he was the Administrator, the Lord he worshipped. Nobody told him that he wasn't the Administrator anymore, and gave Horatius a metallic cylinder containing the scroll about the amulet, along with a message written revealing the truth of the Foundation, and SCP-4514 which he would need to kill Bright, urging him to leave immediately as the Mayor was growing impatient. With all of the band successfully going through the Way, Nobody was left all alone with the Mayor.

Luckily, Nobody managed to convince the Mayor to let him go by offering him a deal to open Portland and merge it with Arnven. With the deal accepted, Nobody was allowed to leave and went to the entrance of UnLondon to check on his crew. To his dismay he found them being ambushed by the Holy Foundation's 11th Mobile Legion of Epsilon, also known as "the Nine", with Horatius and Perrin having already died. During the fight, one of the soldiers tried to attack Geva when she attempted to flee with the Amulet in hands, but Nobody intervened, using his multiple arms to fight the Legion. This bought Geva enough time to get away and at last destroy the Amulet, marking the end of Lord Bright. Meanwhile, Nobody, Moritz and Arcos managed to kill the remaining knights of the Nine, but the latter two were left seriously injuried. Geva was able to heal Moritz and Arcos by giving them her "heel potions" that she had bought from dado, and with the battle over all four of them gathered around a campfire which was used to burn Perrin's body. Moritz and Arcos were angry at Nobody for not telling everyone the whole truth behind his identity and their mission, which served to bring down the Foundation. He explained he couldn't risk the Amulet falling in the wrong hands, and its destruction was for the best, despite the fact that with the Foundation gone the Thereven Khanate's horde would allowed to strike many lands. Geva interjected and admonished Nobody for feeling pity about himself and getting other people killed in his stead, instead of trying to take over the Foundation and help make an actual difference. She then announced her intention to use SCP-6149, which the Nine had used to arrive here, to go back Arnven and protect it from the Khanate's barbarian horde, and asked Nobody to help her drive it. However, when Moritz pointed out they still had to return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake, Arcos offered to walk there by himself, telling everyone he wouldn't go back with them as he intended to stay in Europe and explore it. Moritz decided to go alongside him, but before they could depart Nobody demanded him to relinquish a horn that could mind-control a large group of people. Learning what it was, Geva proposed to use the horn in taking down the horde to save her city. After bidding Moritz and Arcos farewell, Geva entered SCP-6149, and using his countless, Nobody turned the blue bus on and with both of them ready travelled through an interdimensional aperture, arriving in an instant in Arnven.

With the Thereven Horde preparing to barge into Arnven, Nobody and Geva emerged through the city's gates with the horn in hand. The horde's leader, Quan Thereven, thought they were about to surrender, only for Geva to blow the horn, causing all of the barbarians to fall under her control. Now with the horde under her complete control, Geva ordered them to abandon their conquest, go back empty-handed with the knowledge that she could have had them kill themselves, and never return. This worked as the horde quickly retreated, sparing Arnven and all of the surrounding lands. With the horde, Nobody took the horn back, and when she asked why he wouldn't use it for himself he revealed that he was being consumed by rust due to having been stabbed by one of the Nine with a dagger from the Forge, and had only three days left to live. The two of them reentered Arnven where they were cheered as saviors by all of citizens, but Geva soon demanded for everyone to stop. She held a speech on how she wasn't the reincarnation of the Witch, and she or the Saints weren't divine beings, but people who knew about anomalies. Quietly, Nobody left, and watched from the crowd as Geva told everyone of her adventures and expressing her desire to unite the surrounding lands to form a new nation of freedom. With a smile, Nobody departed to deal with the Foundation at last, forcing the Overwatch Cardinals to release the D-caste and killing them before he himself perished on the spot.
