Noritoshi Kamo

Noritoshi Kamo is a supporting character from the anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen, created by Gege Akutami.

He is jujutsu sorcerer from the prestigious Kamo clan and a third-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High

He is voiced by Satoshi Hino in Japanese and by Landon McDonald in English

Personality[]

Noritoshi is often cold due to his strict adherence to his clan as he was born into the Kamo family, he was raised with the belief that he must uphold the clan’s legacy at any cost, leading to a sense of duty that dominates much of his decision-making. Despite his harsh demeanor, Noritoshi is not without compassion, he hides a more empathetic side, particularly when the safety of others is at stake.

He initially treats sorcery as a means to protect his bloodline’s reputation rather than as a heroic duty. However, his perspective begins to shift as he witnesses the camaraderie and determination of other jujutsu sorcerers. This gradual change reveals a more human side of him: someone capable of evolving beyond the shadows of family pressure.

Powers and Abilities[]

Blood Manipulation: As a descendant of the Kamo clan, Noritoshi possesses the innate technique of Blood Manipulation, allowing him to control his own blood after it's been released from his body. He can form projectiles and control their movement mid-air with precision.

Bow and Arrows: He infuses his cursed energy into arrows, giving him accuracy and enhanced piercing power. These arrows can be redirected after firing.

Tactical Intelligence: Noritoshi is a skilled strategist, capable of analyzing a battle in real-time. He often targets his enemy’s weaknesses and adapts his technique depending on the situation.

Physical Conditioning: Being a jujutsu student, he has undergone intense physical training, giving him notable speed, strength, and reflexes. This makes him capable of holding his own in close combat, even without relying on his technique.

Trivia[]

Noritoshi shares his name with another member of the Kamo family, who was alive about 150 years ago and whose body was taken by Kenjaku. This often creates confusion, though they are entirely different people.
Noritoshi was one of the few Kyoto students who showed growth and change after the Kyoto Goodwill Event, learning to value teamwork over clan rivalry.
