Norman is one of the main protagonists of the anime and manga series The Promised Neverland.
He is voiced by Maaya Uchida in the Japanese version and Jeannie Tirado in the English version, who both are also voiced Koito Minase in Myriad Colors Phantom World and Katarina Claes in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom.
Appearance[]
He has white hair with light blue eyes. He is shown wearing a white button-up shirt, white khakis, and brown shoes. He is also shown wearing a white V neck sweater. Like the other orphans he has a number code on his neck.
Personality[]
He is known for being a genius strategist and planner, as well as unbeatable at the game of tag. His raw intellect was shown to surpass the Grace Field Farm's previous inhabitants through tests given to him after his "shipment" that were increasingly harder than what he was given prior to age 12. His lethality towards demons in general had far surpassed Emma's, but he simultaneously feels more of an obligation to humanity at large's safety, something that provoked tears in him when Emma pointed it out.
History[]
He discovers the truth of the orphanage with Emma and teams up with Ray to devise a plan to escape. While he knows leaving with every child in the house is near to impossible, his love for Emma pushes him to continue trying. As the most intelligent out of the three, he is the first to find out Ray's true identity as Isabella's spy and prepare various back-up plans and escape routes. After Ray is betrayed by Isabella, Norman is forced to be shipped before his 12th birthday, accepting his fate of inevitable death to deceive her and let the rest of the children escape. However, instead of being put down, Norman is sent to a special research facility, escaping after leads the other children held there in an uprising. Since then, he establishes a hideout for children they rescued from other facilities and prepares a plan to wipe out all demons in the world.
