~ Nugget before landing the final blow on the new principal.

Nugget is the deuteragonist and central character of the Kindergarten video game series.

He is one of the kids Kid is able to interact with across all the games. He is primarily known for his strange tendencies, knack for talking in the third person and his obsession with chicken nuggets.

Appearance[]

Nugget is seen with blond hair along with a red, orange and yellow checkered shirt, he is also shown to be consistently cross-eyed.

Personality[]

Nugget, as his name would imply, has an intense love for nuggets. He almost always speaks in the third person and generally shows himself to be rather apathetic to his own pain as well as others. Despite his odd exterior however, Nugget is shown to have a more knowledgeable side than first meets the eye, this is best shown with how, unlike the entire rest of the cast, he seems to have knowledge of the fourth wall, as he directly acknowledges you, the player, in the secret endings of all three games.

Biography[]

Kindergarten[]

Nugget makes his debut appearance in the first Kindergarten as the game's tritagonist. He is one of the kids Kid is able to interact with and befriend if you so choose. Like the other kids in the game, Nugget has a mission the player needs to complete in order to beat the game. To unlock said mission the player must first acquire Cindy's flower by completing her mission first.

Upon presenting the flower to Nugget during morning time, Nugget will set Kid on a quest to acquire the five Nuggets of Friendship by fulfulling tasks for him throughout the day such as giving a Love Letter to Lily and poisoning Buggs in the cafeteria. Doing so will have Nugget grant the player access to the Nugget Cave.

Once down there, all the player has to do is place Cindy's Flower on the makeshift grave Nugget made for Billy after his disappearance, doing so will cause Nugget to break down in tears, expressing how much he misses Billy and that he began to take pills the principal gave him to forget, resulting in him not remembering what happened to Billy, much to his dismay. Nugget then gives you a note Billy wrote before his disappearance and advising Kid to show it to Lily, doing so the next Monday will lead to the player starting Lily's Mission, the final mission in the game.

Nugget plays a mostly indirect role in Lily's Mission, being the one to send Kid off to the principal's office at the start of the day so that they can get a glimpse at the hatch hiding under the rug. When the principal confronts Kid and Lily at the climax of the mission, he reveals that he originally intended on using Nugget as an experiment before Billy discovered one of the bodies of one of the monsters he was keeping in containment, forcing him to take Billy instead in order to keep him quiet. Nugget was also given a bottle of the principal's pills in order to stop him from remembering what happened to Billy.

The last time Nugget is seen in this mission is at the end of the day where he expresses his joy at seeing Billy rescued during show and tell.

Kindergarten 2[]

Nugget returns in Kindergarten 2 as one of the game's deuteragonists. He is first seen at the beginning of the day trapped underneath a sewer grate outside their new school, begging to be let out, failing to do so will result in Nugget chewing off his own arm in order to get out.

Like the first game, Nugget has his own mission the player needs to complete in order to beat the game. Titled "If You Can Dodge a Nugget", the mission has Kid helping Nugget dig a brand new Nugget Cave. Doing so first requires Kid to give Bob the Janitor his toolbelt, leading him to getting Nugget out of the sewer and rewarding him with a Nugget of Friendship.

From there Kid must earn Nugget's trust by finding him a shovel and nuggets in order to dig his new Nugget Cave. Acquiring a shovel from the janitor's closet and a box of Nuggets from the cafeteria. Upon discovering that the nuggets are cold, Nugget will begin bashing his head against the wall, requiring the player to microwave them before he ends up killing him self as a result.

Upon givng Nugget the now warmed up box of Nuggets, Nugget begins work on his brand new Nugget Cave, digging a large hole in the middle of the sandpit at recess and having the player drop the nuggets inside.

Upon entering the new Nugget Cave, Nugget has Kid get rid of the severed leg that is seen laying nearby, leading to the last part of the mission where Kid and Nugget must win a game of dodgeball against the other kids. Doing so will finally earn Nugget's friendship, rewarding you with a Monstermon Plushie given to him by Lily at the end of the day, allowing the player to interact with Billy and Lily during the next Tuesday and getting one step closer to the game's final mission.

Unlike the first game where Nugget plays a background role in the final mission, "Creature Feature" has Nugget be directly involved in the takedown of the new principal. Starting off the day using Penny to free Nugget from the sewer grate, Nugget informs Kid that he saw him pulling the strings from the sidelines, staring that with this power he believes Kid could bring peace to the school before telling them to descend into the sewer and speak to Lily and Billy.

Upon acquiring various items from Billy (most notably the jackhammer), the player is then able to give it to Nugget during lunch time, to which he then uses to tunnel under the school, stealing the box of nuggets and warming them up using the microwave. Nugget is then seen in the playground during recess, filling his brand new Nugget Cave with the nuggets he had stolen earlier, allowing Kid to go inside and continue the mission.

After infiltrating the new principal's secret lab and dropping her into the large pool of goo she is standing above, Nugget appears once again, drilling through the ceiling using his jackhammer and taking out the now mutated principal's eye, killing her for good and saving everyone from being eaten. Taking their leave with the newly rescued Alice, Madison and Ron, Lily thanks Nugget for saving them by giving him a peck on the cheek, causing Nugget to scream in happiness, exclaiming that he will tell the world before running off in excitement.

Kindergarten 3[]

Nugget once again returns as one of the deuteragonists of Kindergarten 3 where is seen playing in a puddle of goo at the beginning of the day.

Just like the last two games, Nugget once again gets his own mission, this time titled "Nugget-o and Lily-et", Kid teams up with Nugget and Lily to dig a Nugget Cave under the school in order to rescue Kevin, something which proves to be easier said than done when Nugget is forced to perform a play for Ms. Lovelett.

After getting Lily to agree, the two perform the infamous double suicide scene from Romeo and Juliet where Nugget ends up accidentally drinking the poison Ms. Lovelett gave him after being distracted by kissing Lily's forehead.

Upon finding him the antidote and curing him, the last part of the mission begins where upon digging a "Nugget Cave of Love" using a shovel and a pile of nuggets that Kid acquired, Kid, Nugget, and Lily all dive into the cave to rescue Kevin. Upon gaining Kevin's alliance by showing him a Nugget of Friendship, they all break out of the laboratory with the help of Linda just in time before it blows up.

Unable to save Kevin from the explosion, Nugget begins to tear up, wishing he could've saved him. Lily, wanting to comfort him, points out the high probability of him still being alive and that she can help him look for him on Thursday. Nugget expresses his gratitude, stating that he will dig many Nugget Caves of Friendship before proceeding to run off, leaving Kid and Lily alone.

Like the game that came before it, Nugget plays a major role in the final mission "Paging Dr. Goolittle". After acquiring the Anti-goo gun from Regis' secret lab, Kid is able to fire it at Nugget, ridding him of the goo. After taking down the robot Regis sent into morning class in order to acquire the robot, Kid then gives the Anti-goo gun to Nugget, which he then uses to purify the infected animals around the school. Starting with Guppy and Birdy, after the player manages to save Nugget from Regis, he uses the Anti-goo gun to rid Booboo and the infected rabbits from the goo.

Making her leave from her tree hideout, Lily, Kid, Nugget, and the now purified animals all head to the front of the school where Davey manages to get Linda's attention, at which point he, Nugget, Kid, Lily, along with the two purified bunnies and Guppy all enter the alligator's mouth, entering Regis' lab.

From there, after Davey has an emotional conversation with the dying Principal David they all head through the room located at the end of the lab, confronting Regis directly. From there Nugget sends the purified animals at the order Kid requests, taking down Regis' defenses. After using the magnet to get rid of Regis' cannon ball gun, Linda knocks him into the pit of goo behind him before Nugget, alongside the other purified animals, all enter the vat that transfers their anti-goo energy over to KEvin, finally curing him of his mutation.

From there, Nugget, alongside the purified animals as well as Kevin, Lily, and Alice (who had just entered the room) all take their leave while Kid and Davey go to help Linda take down the mutated Regis.

The last time we see Nugget in this mission is at the very end, where after the goo reactor combusts, he is seen falling alongside the other students, nuggets spilling out around him as the credits role.
