O'Chunks is a redeemed antagonist and one of Count Bleck’s minions in the 2007 Nintendo Wii video game Super Paper Mario. He is not very bright, but he has a strong sense of honor and loyalty to his superiors. Other identifying characteristics include massive biceps and a thick Irish accent.
Personality[]
O'Chunks is somewhat cocky and loud as shown, boasting of his strength. Also, he is quick to anger, whether he is interacting with his colleagues or with Mario and the rest of his group. However, he is a bit narrow-minded, and therefore not taken too seriously, such as when he continually and incorrectly calls Mario "Maria", as well as occasionally having trouble using the right words. O'Chunks also has a great sense of honor, shown after being beaten a second time, insisted the heroes give him a "warrior's death" because he felt disgraced, and after being beaten a third time by Bowser at Bleck Castle, he was fully willing to let the group through as he felt they had earned the right. It is clear that he is not evil, he is just very loyal to his boss, Count Bleack, he dedicates himself to this cause after the disappearance of his lord, together with two other Bleck minions, Mimi and Nastasia. Despite his gruff exterior, he is also actually quite sensitive and caring towards his fellow minions and Bleck, as shown in instances such as when he comforted Nastasia when she broke down in tears after Bleck disappeared from their dimension due to the ransom and of self-sacrifice to stop Chaos. Heart.
