Ochobot is the tritagonist of the BoBoiBoy franchise. He has the possible ability of manipulation, while teleportation and portal creation are shown in BoBoiBoy: The Movie and BoBoiBoy Galaxy. He is the last generation of Power Sphere.
He was voiced by Muhammad Fathi Diaz.
Appearance[]
Ochobot is a yellow and spherical robot with five hooded compartments that hold his hands and wheels. He can hiding these parts when he needs them or disguise himself as a ball to avoid detection from others. the latter of which happens in the very first episode of the original series.
After being modified and upgraded in the Power Sphere Lab, Ochobot's older form has changed, but he still retains his identity as a yellow Power Sphere, and his face becomes an LED screen. This sophisticated alien technology gives him the Teleportation Power, which is transferred to him by Klamkabot.
History[]
Early life[]
Like all other Power Spheres, Ochobot was presumably created by the Kubulus aliens. One day, he was acquired by Hang Kasa to help contain the power of the Elements. When he and Retak'ka dueled, Hang Kasa sealed Retak'ka with a Crystal Prison into a nearby meteor, before using Ochobot to remove all seven of Retak'ka's Elemental Forms. It is unknown how Adu Du and Probe found him in the first place, although one can interpret that Hang Kasa abandoned Ochobot on Ata Ta Tiga after removing Retak'ka's Elemental power.
Original Series[]
Ochobot first appears when Adu Du and Probe uses Tok Aba's cocoa to activate him. However, he escapes along with BoBoiBoy, and later gives him and his friends superpowers. Before Season 2, he is also responsible for giving Fang superpowers, as he has no choice to escape from Adu Du and Probe. He returns in season 3 but has not much of a role.
BoBoiBoy: The Movie[]
During the movie, Ochobot is looking forward to a camping trip that BoBoiBoy continually forgets to attend due to his superhero duties and is duly upset. He is suddenly contacted by Klamkabot, who BoBoiBoy mistakes as his grandfather, who is being hunted by Power Sphere Hunters. He is later captured by Bora Ra, causing BoBoiBoy's Gang and Papa Zola to mount a rescue expedition to save him. Ochobot is able to escape thanks to Klamkabot and is finally able to meet up with BoBoiBoy once more. After Klamkabot provides a distraction, BoBoiBoy manages to take Ochobot to the Power Sphere Lab, where Ochobot is upgraded and inherits Klamkabot's teleportation ability. However, before he could teleport to another place, he is attacked by Kiki Ta, and Bora Ra brutally destroys him, which forces BoBoiBoy to get revenge from him. He is revived by Klamkabot, who gives his last powers, and he and BoBoiBoy are together once again.
BoBoiBoy Galaxy[]
Equipped with Teleportation Power, Ochobot, along with BoBoiBoy, and his friends have to find all the other Power Spheres across the universe.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Power Bestowal: Ochobot is responsible for giving Boboiboy and his friend's power watches.
- Teleportation: During Boboiboy the Movie, Klamkabot gave his teleportation power to ochobot, and wants boboiboy to protect him.
- Teleportal: Ochobot can create portals that can teleport boboiboy and his friends during their missions.
- Levitation: Ochobot's main way of moving is by levitating above the ground.
- Regeneration: After the events of Boboiboy the Movie, the creators confirmed that Ochobot can self-regenerate because of the technology of Kabulus aliens.
Trivia[]
- His name "Ocho" means "eight" or "nine" (though "Nueve" is used instead) in Spanish, which fits his status as the ninth generation of Power Spheres.
