Odessa is a major protagonist in the AMC series Into the Badlands.
She is a former Cog and Doll prostitute who joins the Widow's forces in order to help her fight for a new world without the oppressive systems of the Badlands. She eventually enters into a relationship with Tilda, the Widow's daughter, and after Tilda abandons the Widow to become an outlaw, Odessa joins her to begin fighting for to help refugees harmed by the Widow's war.
She was portrayed by Maddison Jaizani.
Personality[]
Odessa is very passionate about changing the Badlands due to her past as a Doll prostitute, to the point that she is doubtful of the Widow even while working for her. Once the Widow makes an alliance with Baron Quinn in order to take down the other Barons, Odessa immediately wants to abandon her due to the fact that she used to be long to Quinn when she was a Cog. She only ends up staying due to her relationship with Tilda, who she becomes completely loyal to. After Tilda turns against the Widow and is imprisoned by her, Odessa goes to break her out, and the two become outlaws. In general, Odessa can hold fierce grudges, and doesn't seem to believe that she can trust people who have been killers in the past, such as M.K. or Lydia. In the end, while she does still care about Tilda, she ends up breaking things off with her due to no longer wanting to be a part of the war, whereas Tilda still wants to continue fighting.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Martial Arts/Swordsmanship: Odessa is quite capable in combat, having been taken in and trained to fight after killing a Clipper that was holding her and several other Cogs hostage. After being trained, she was able to take down several of the Widow's Clippers during her time as an outlaw. She was even able to briefly hold her own against Nathaniel Moon, the Widow's Regent and one of the most skilled Clippers in all of the Badlands.

- Odessa serves the most Barons out of anyone in the series, serving under Quinn, Ryder, and the Widow before becoming an outlaw.
