Old King (老國王) is titular one of the supporting of Brave Animated Series, based on the comic Brave Series (勇者系列) by Yellow Book. He was the benevolent and idealistic ruler of the Brave Kingdom whose unwavering commitment to peace and coexistence between humans and the demons made him a champion of justice. His tragic assassination became the ironic catalyst for a renewed war.
He is voiced by Ma Guo Yao, who also voices Fallen Mad Demon in the same animated series.
Story[]
The Old King served as the series' chief symbol of peaceful resolution and true justice. His reign was a period where diplomatic efforts were prioritized over bloodshed. His life met a tragic end when he was assassinated by a young, radical demon who mistakenly believed the King was a warmonger. The irony of a peace advocate being murdered for the opposite cause highlights the core tragedy of the series. Following his death, his final words were twisted by a treacherous "New King" (later War King) to incite mass hatred, using his murder as justification to declare a full-scale war against the demons. The Old King's memory and ideals live on as the driving force for the protagonists who fight to achieve the world peace he died trying to create.

The Old King has light green hair, scruffy face and white skin. He wears deep-purple loyal costume with a large light-brown king cape. His face looks kind and approachable.

- Compassionate and Idealistic - He genuinely believed in the possibility of world peace, asserting that "most demons are kind" and viewing coexistence as a tangible goal.
- Intellectual and Rational - He refused to act on fear. When asked by his people to eradicate a nearby demon settlement, he rationally questioned whether the Demon Folk had actually committed any harm, illustrating his insistence on fairness over prejudice.
- Moral Courage - He faced internal political opposition and public scrutiny, earning the reputation of being a "pro-demon King" for his moderate stance, yet he never compromised his desire for peace.
