Old Man Consequences is a major protagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, serving as the secondary antagonist of FNAF World and Ultimate Custom Night and the deuteragonist of the Princess Quest minigames across the franchise's Steel Wool era.
He is a mysterious crocodile-like character who sits on the fourth level of the Flipside, fishing in a red pond as unlucky travelers find themselves falling inside the inescapable dimension. He later finds himself inside the Princess Quest arcade cabinets where he takes the form of an elderly king, helping the Princess in her fight against Glitchtrap.
Appearance[]
Old Man Consequences appears in FNAF World and Ultimate Custom Night in the form of a red 8-bit sprite of a crocodillian figure sitting with a fishing rod in his hand. In Princess Quest, his sprite now appears as a bearded man wearing a robe, a spiky crown and a jewel-encrusted necklace, carrying with him a staff encrusted with a large ruby.
Biography[]
FNAF World[]
Old Man Consequences appeared as an easter egg character. He is a non-playable character who is only encountered when entering the fourth sub-tunnel. In the fourth level, there's only Old Man Consequences sitting near a pond and fishing. When the player comes they must speak to Old Man Consequences or drown themselves in the pond. The player talks to him and he says that you've gone too deep into the code. After that, the game will simply end.
Ultimate Custom Night[]
OMC appears in this game as one of the many customizable characters. While active he can appear in the office in the upper left corner of the screen where he is fishing. If the player successfully completes the minigame by catching the fish on the marked spot, Old Man Consequences will disappear. But if the player fails to do this then the cameras will be disabled for a short while.
If the level of difficulty for Old Man Consequences is 1, and for all other characters is 0, then if you catch a fish, you will be sent to the sublevel of the fourth level from the FNaF world, where Old Man Consequences is located. If the player talks to him, they beg Golden Freddy to stop tormenting William Afton, telling them that he would be punished regardless of whether you let him go or not, and Golden Freddy was only damning his own soul by torturing him. Afterwards, the player jumps into the pond, which ends the minigame and resets everything, though whether this means that the player took his advice or continued to torture William is unknown.
Princess Quest[]
Old Man Consequences returns in Princess Quest II from Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. When the Princess wakes up beside him after being swarmed by Glitchtrap in the previous game, he grants her the "Sword of Light", allowing her to fight off Glitchtrap's minions and progress through the level. Upon completing it, Old Man Consquences tells her that her quest is over and that it's "time to sleep", only for the Princess to ignore him as she enters a replica of the FNAF 1 office through a glitched door behind him, ending this section and leading into Princess Quest IV.
Old Man Consequences later reappears in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2, in which he tells the Princess that something remains in the game (likely the Technician, the game's protagonist) and orders her to find it. Upon locating the technician, she grants them the Sword of Light, allowing them to find Old Man Consequences and trade the VANNI mask they're wearing with him for the Glitchtrap plush, allowing them to bring it to Vanny so she can destroy Glitchtrap for good.
Quotes[]
“ | Sorry to say you have gone too deep into the code. There is no way back out. My name is Old Man Consequences. Come have a seat, and let's fish for a while. You have no where else to go. | „ |

These theory still makes sense, considering that angels are always synonymous with supernatural beings who have knowledge about wisdom towards blessed human souls in afterlife.
- His Princess Quest form is likely based on the Old Man who gives Link the Master Sword in the original Legend of Zelda game.
