Old Wrinkly is the one who comforted Hiccup for having a very small dragon. Those big dragons the other boys got are small compared to the sea dragons, which are gigantic.

He and Hiccup are the only ones who recommended not to open the coffin, which has a warning, but the people did not follow.

He talked to Hiccup when hiccup gets depressed.

He is the one who told Hiccup that Fishlegs is sick and the disease is Vorpentitis and the cure is the potato. The only ones who have the potato are the Hysteric Tribes. When Hiccup and Camicazi are back from Hysteria, Old Wrinkly didcovered that Fishlegs did not have Vorpentitis, but Hiccup had, but got cured by the arrow that used to be on the potato.
