Olga is a character in the video game Metro Exodus.

Unlike most characters in the series, Olga's views towards Artyom, as well as Alyosha and the Aurora Crew, to another extent, will be dependent on the former's actions throughout the Taiga level of Exodus, making her either an ally or an enemy to them.

Should Artyom act pacifically towards the Pioneers by not killing them, Olga will be more pacifistic and kind towards the two, where she and her Pioneers would not open fire to both Artyom and Alyosha. In this particular case, she acts as a supporting character, where she becomes a temporary ally to the Aurora Crew.

She is the member of the Children of the Forest, specifically the Pioneers faction, before becoming an Instructor for the group, becoming the voice of reason for the group.

Personality[]

In the Good Ending route of Taiga level, Olga is more levelheaded and honest, where she rescued Artyom and later Alyosha, even helping the latter out. She is able to convince the rest of the Pioneers that both of them are not a threat, and allows them to leave safely.

Biography[]

History[]

Olga is a high-ranking member of the Pioneers, one of the two factions of the Children of the Forest, having attained the level of Instructor. As a result, she frequently serves as a voice of reason, advocating for peaceful solutions rather than bloodbath, as shown when she reasoned with her members that Artyom and Alyosha only need passage to the valley. She is also one of the Children's strongest fighters, with only their leader, Roman, being capable of defeating her.

Metro Exodus[]

After Krest's Railcar goes derailed owing to a landslide created by the Forest Master, sending Artyom, Alyosha, and the railcar into the river, Olga saves Artyom from drowning. Artyom's survival is kept a secret from the other Children by Olga, who also advises Artyom to stay out of sight before departing. The Children arrest Alyosha, but Olga assists him in escaping.

She reappears after Artyom defeats the Forest Master in the chapel, which also happens to be the resting place of the venerated previous leader of the Children, known only as the Teacher. Olga tells Artyom about the Children's background and begs him not to murder any of them.

After defeating the Master and not killing the Pioneers, which fulfils Olga's promise, she will later wish them well and she and Alyosha will confess their feelings for each other.

During the Aurora Crew's trek on the way to Novosibirsk, Alyosha would warn Olga and the rest to leave the valley, due to the accumulation of radiation within the dam. It is unknown what happened to Olga and the rest, but is assumed that the Pioneers and even the Pirates within the Children of the Forest left the now-irradiated valley.

Krest would later talk to Artyom and quip how Alyosha left Olga, where he instead goes with the rest of the Aurora Crew, whom he cares more towards him and Anna, knowing that the Ranger wouldn't see her at some point in time.

Trivia[]

  • Olga is one of the two characters in Metro Exodus, along with Tom, to have a determined disposition towards Artyom, depending on the player's actions.
