Omnimon is the hero of Digimon Adventure:. He is the DNA Digivolved Mega form of Agumon and Gabumon. Described as an existence that surpasses countless space time and the great power, he is the ultimate miracle in times of impending apocalyptic destruction, called forth by the power of a multitude of beings praying for salvation.
History[]
In the ancient war, when all of the other warriors had fallen, Seraphimon and Ophanimon triggered WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon to DNA Digivolve into Omnimon. Empowered by the souls of all of the fallen Digimon, Omnimon destroyed ZeedMillenniummon, but his two component Digimon died of their wounds and were later reborn. However, Omnimon was not powerful enough to destroy ZeedMillenniummon for good, leaving pieces of the evil Digimon scattered across the Digital World.
When Takeru and Hikari touch mysterious feather while Argomon almost defeats Greymon and Garurumon, they DNA digivolve to Omnimon instead. Omnimon and the Mega Argomon engage in a brutal fight, but Omnimon manages to destroy the Mega Argomon, and deflect the nuclear missile that he had launched.
While listening to a story about the ancient war, Taichi notices Omnimon appear amongst the images. Taichi later recalls Omnimon's fight with Argomon, but Agumon is revealed to have no memory of ever being Omnimon.
When Nidhoggmon begins the Tokyo extinction countdown in the Real World. Yamato and Taichi were able to fuse their courage and friendship, and Greymon and Garurumon fused to Omnimon once again. Nidhoggmon tries to fight back, but Omnimon destroys it once and for all, as well as putting an end to Eyesmon’s blackout in Tokyo for good. After Omnimon destroys the fake Tokyo, Negamon sucks the DigiDestined into a portal to the Real World, but Omnimon manages to prevent Taichi and Yamato from getting sucked in.
When Taichi arrives looking for a way to defeat Negamon and stop the Great Catastrophe, Valkyriemon reveals that there is a "great power" that can stop it which he realizes is Omnimon from the images that she shows him. She explains to Taichi that Omnimon was first formed in the fight between the Holy and Dark Digimon armies, fusing from WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon thanks to the Digimon's hearts that wished to conquer evil for peace despite being hurt and defeated with Seraphimon and Ophanimon triggering the digivolution. As Omnimon, they were able to cause a miracle, destroying ZeedMillenniummon. Furthermore, Valkyrimon pointed out that Omnimon was summoned twice in the present day thanks to the Chosen Children, and that he was an existence which surpassed countless space-time, but that only held a shape from prayers and wishes, and that it was the last light for all living beings, the ultimate miracle that could even overturn the end of the world. Valkyriemon then added that the key to activating said great power was the hearts of many Digimon and humans, that if they prayed, they would surely become the key to overcome the approaching catastrophe.
During the final battle between the DigiDestined and Abbadomon, the people of the Real World send their hopes into Abbadomon's white void which the Mega Digimon collect and send to Seraphimon and Ophanimon. Sending the power to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, Seraphimon and Ophanimon are able to cause them to DNA Digivolve into Omnimon once again and Omnimon breaks into Abbadomon's orb, determined to destroy it and end the Great Catastrophe once and for all. Inside, Omnimon battles Abbadomon's core form, but he is ultimately defeated and nearly destroyed by the evil Digimon. However, the determination of all of the DigiDestined causes Omnimon to Slide Evolve into Omnimon Alter-S who proves to be more than a match for Abbadomon. Alter-S slashes Abbadomon's core in half, causing the top half to take on the form of a giant purple cloud with a fanged mouth that swallows Alter-S, but Alter-S simply blows it up from the inside, destroying both the core and Abbadomon. Alter-S reverts back into Omnimon who watches as Abbadomon reformats into a Digi-Egg. Omnimon expresses a hope that Negamon will be reborn into an existence bound to neither good nor evil and promises to see him again someday. After Negamon's Digi-Egg vanishes, Omnimon uses his sword to destroy Abbadomon's part of the Network before becoming Agumon and Gabumon again.
