Orange Amber (오렌지 앰버, 橙吖咪) is one of the main protagonists of the Rainbow Bubblegem series. Amber is one of the seven Mermaid Princesses tasked with restoring the titular Rainbow Bubblegem, teaming up with the other Mermaid Princesses in her quest. She lives in the Sea Anemone kingdom.
Orange Amber is voiced by Kim Ga-Ryeong in the Korean dub. In the Chinese dub, she is voiced by Xie Ying. The Indonesian dub has her voiced by Diah Sekartaji.

Physical Appearance[]
As with her fellow Mermaid Princesses, Orange Amber can shift between three forms. However, she has tan skin, green eyes with orange flowers in them, and bouncy orange hair in each form.
Orange Amber's natural form is an orange-tailed mermaid whose tail resembles flower petals; in this form, she has a light orange tiara and a reddish-orange top with a white collar that resembles a flower, with a flower imprinted on the chest area. When she adopts a human disguise, she gets a white short-sleeved blouse beneath an orange sleeveless dress and a reddish-orange outline. Amber's magical girl form gives her pink and yellow highlights in her hair, rainbows in her eyes, and an orange dress with a rainbow flower on it, orange gloves, orange boots with rainbow outlines, and a hair bow in her hair.
Personality[]
Orange Amber is characterised as an adorable, cute, and kind girl. She loves baking and hosting tea parties. Despite being upbeat and optimistic, she can be emotional and insecure, particularly when someone criticises her, and she can be scared easily. She heavily relies on her mother, but outgrows this flaw when she sees her friends in trouble.
Powers and Abilities[]
When she powers up into a Magical Girl state, known as "Flower Orange," Orange Amber wields an umbrella from whose tip she can fire flower-shaped lasers. She can also smash the ground with it to generate a shockwave around her. When she holds her umbrella ahead, the umbrella can be used as a shield.

Trivia[]
- Concept art of the show showed that Orange Amber could use a hammer; her shockwave ability may be a remnant of that idea.
- Amber is one of two characters to have a change in weaponry during development; Indigo Keen, who was given a cane despite being drawn with a bow and arrow during development, is the other.
- Due to her colour scheme and her association with flowers, Amber resembles to Princess Daisy from the Super Mario Bros. franchise. However, Amber is a girly girl rather than a tomboy.
- Her human outfit also bears a resemblance to Orange Blossom from Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures.
- While she is called Flower Orange when she powers up, Amber actually says "Bubble Bubble, Blossom Change" to trigger the transformation.
- Orange Amber's habit of crying whenever she gets hit while carrying muffins is similar to the cabbage merchant whose cabbages often end up being destroyed in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
