Orange Star, otherwise known as Red Star in Japan, is one of the 5 main factions of the Wars World and the main protagonistic faction in all entries of Advance Wars series of military turn-based strategy video games, except Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (Advance Wars: Dark Conflict in both Europe and Australia or Famicom Wars DS: Ushinawareta Hikari in Japan), which is replaced by the 12th Battalion. In most Advance Wars games, it is the first playable nation in Campaign Mode. Also, it is later a part of the Allied Nations and the second highest amount of Commanding Officers after the villainous Black Hole, while the other members of the Allied Nations currently have only 4 Commanding Officers. However, it has only seven, except Yuan Delta from Super Famicom Wars. With the exception of Jake, the military forces of this faction have direct warfare, which is used for excelling in frontal military assaults.
History[]
The history starts with Orange Star in a war against the neighboring nations: Blue Moon, Yellow Comet and Green Earth. As a tactical adviser for Orange Star, the Commanding Officer follows the war effort through all four major factions over the Wars World. In the end, it is revealed that the mysterious army known as the Black Hole is the true foe of the four nations. Using the imposter of Andy, Sturm stirred up war among the Allied Nations in order to confuse, weaken, and eventually conquer them. If this is revealed, the Orange Star allies with other 3 nations to rid Black Hole from their land. In dual strike Rachel commands the Allied nations and also introduced the Stealth fighter and the Aircraft carrier in Omens and signs.
