Orion is a major supporting protagonist in Power Rangers Super Megaforce.
He is a humanoid extraterrestrial who originally lived on a planet called Andresia where one day at work, he discovers a Silver Ranger & morpher a week before a ruthless alien empire known as "The Armada" arrived, obliterating everyone on his homeworld, realizing the Ranger morpher came to him to prevent the Armada from harming others, Orion vowed to use the powers he found and becomes the Mega Silver Ranger
He is portrayed by Cameron Jebo.
Biography[]
Past[]
Orion used to live on a planet called Andresia with his family in a small village and would work as a miner at a quarry. However, one day, Orion discovered the Silver Super Megaforce morpher and ranger key. 1 week later, the Armada attacked.
When Orion tried to get to his home to save it, his family and his friends but by the time he arrived, he was too late. Everyone and everything Orion knew and loved was gone. He vowed to make the Armada pay and avenge his planet and loved ones.
At first, it was hard for him to love alone but he eventually managed to do it good. He originally thought he wasn't good enough to use his powers, so he practiced day and night.
Months later, some of the Armada came back and Orion shot down one of the ships. He worked on it for months and finally he fixed the ship and went to across the galaxy trying to stop other planets and other beings from suffering the same fate.
Arriving on Earth & meeting the other rangers[]
Eventually, Orion found the closest Armada fleet busy with their next conquest, Earth, when he arrived on earth, he would usually stop the X-Borgs and disappear before the other Megaforce rangers arrive. He later decides to get the job as a waiter at Ernie's Brainfreeze, where he would meet up with Super Megaforce ranger Gia, eventually he reveals himself to the other rangers when the current field commander, Gorgax is placed with a bomb without his knowledge, and after destroying it and the monster, he is happily taken to the ranger's base where he meets their leader, Gosei, who welcome him with open arms & help him get a better & clean look.
A little while later, Orion and the other rangers battle the next armada ground invasion force led by the commander Osegain, after destroying Osegain, he is surprised when he turned into a giant, but gets another surprise waiting for him when he is given control of the Time Force Q-Rex zord, and wipes the floor with the monster with ease.
Entering Super Mega Gold Mode[]
During his time fighting alongside the other earth rangers, he develops a strong bond with all of them, including Gia, though it also sparked some jealousy with the Black/Green Ranger Jake, particularly when he is able to gain access to all the previous extra rangers powers.
Around this time, the Armada sends down a monster named Skeltox, with the ability to drain energy from anyone, to destroy the rangers, during the battle, Jake gets caught in the crossfires between the monster & Emma gets in front of the line of fire to protect him, but she along with the other rangers get their energy drained. Afterwards, Jake feels the need to destroy the monster himself, but Orion assures him it's not his fault and together, they come up with a plan to destroy Skeltox.
While Skeltox is busy skipping around the city, Orion ambushes him & while Jake holds him of, Orion is able to merge all 15 extra ranger keys together and enters Super Mega Gold mode, and annihilates Skeltox for good.
Showdown with Prince Vekar[]
After sometime battling even more of the Armada's forces, Orion and the rest of the team eventually come face to face with the spoiled & winey prince of the Armada Vekar, who after spending numerous losses & blaming them on his lackeys, decides to destroy the rangers himself the moment he is given his own personal Megazord, which easily proves to be more powerful than the other rangers megazords.
Eventually, after a lengthy megazord battle, the rangers are eventually able to unlock their strongest megazord combination, the Ultimate Legendary Megazord & obliterate the Zord with Vekar being destroyed with it. After their victory, Orion, along with the other rangers celebrate their victory, while also believing that now with the prince gone, their war with the Armada will be much easier now.
Captured by Vrak[]
Sometime later, after working late one night, Orion is captured by Vekar's far more competent, dangerous, & evil brother Vrak; he went into hiding prior to the Armada's invasion as he was a cyborg at the time, and is taken to his underwater base along with another captured ranger named Robo Knight, and used his powers to corrupt Robo Knight, render the legendary keys powerless, and use the remaining ranger powers to use as part of his master plan: Power up 3 drills to annihilate the earth.
Fortunately, the rangers are able to free Robo Knight of Vrak's control and when Orion is left in the collapsing water base, he risks his life to save him. After Vrak's final defeat, Orion is washed up on the oceanside until the other rangers find him & help him recover, where he explains that Robo Knight transfered his powers to him.
Putting Damaras in his place[]
After another successful victory, the red ranger Troy surprises everyone with tickets to a concert tonight, but are then confronted by the second-in-command of the Armada invasion force Damaras, & despite he & the others putting up a great fight, Orion & the other rangers are beaten up badly and Damaras captures Troy, who decides to hold him in a bargain for earth to surrender.
However, just before Troy is destroyed, Jake jumps in and distracts Damaras & his forces long enough for the other rangers to arrive and free Troy and destroy him once & for all. Afterwards the rangers are finally able to safely attend the concert in peace & victory.
Temporarily leaving Earth[]
After a while, Orion believes that with both Damaras & Vekar gone, he believes the Armada has given trying to take over Earth and decides to return home to Andresia to restart life there, after bidding farewell to his team and restarting the ship he rode on to get to earth, Orion turns on autopilot and flies back to Andresia
However, while en-route back to his homeworld, Orion hears over radio that due to both Vekar & Vrak's death at the hands of the rangers as well as Earth's everlasting rebellion against the Armada, Emperor Mavro, Vrak & Vekar's father & the grand Emperor of the Armada, has not only come to personally conquer Earth himself, but is also going as far as to bring every ship his Empire has to do so.
Knowing Earth needs him now more than ever, Orion flies back to Earth, where he reunites with his team (who just lost every Zord in Mavro's second wave of attack) as they prepare for The Armada's oncoming last & biggest wave of invasion yet.
Confronting The Emperor[]
By daybreak, The Ground troops of the Armada are about to annihilate the civilians when Orion and his team arrive on the seen & take out the ground attackers. But after being attacked by the ships flying above them, Troy realizes that the only way to end the invasion is to cut of the head of the Snake: Mavro, Orion & Troy then board the latter's ship to get to the Armada Mothership & stop the invasion for good.
Flying past the numerous laser fires & with just one ship, Orion and Troy barely manage to get onto Mavro's flagship and dismantle everyone on board before coming face to face with The Emperor himself, Orion then attempts to strike him down but Mavro quickly proves why he's the Emperor by easily taking both of them on without even standing.
However, Orion & Troy quickly use every Armada ships presence to their advantage; While Orion personally continues to battle Mavro to avenge his homeworld, Troy seizes complete control of the mothership's weapons system & turns it on the entire fleet, which destroys them all with ease. When Troy finishes destroying the fleet, Orion is backed up by Troy to finish of Mavro, & end up tricking him by destroying the ship's control system & send it crashing to the ground, and safely use their Space Ranger powers to land safely.
Unfortunately, their calm reunion with their team is stopped when Mavro reveals himself to be still standing, and having lost his entire empire to the rangers, coldy decides to take it out on them & the Earth. Determined to stop him and save the world, Orion & the others go all-out against him with every power they have. After an all-out battle, Orion shoves the Super Mega Cannon in Mavro's chest & fires directly threw his chest, avenging his homeworld & ending the Emperor's reign of terror once & for all.
Winning the Legendary Battle[]
Unfortunately, just before he explodes, Mavro is able to sick every surviving X-Borg to the rangers location in one-last attempt to destroy them, However, just before the X-Borgs attack them, Orion and the others are happy to discover that every previous ranger before them, a revived Robo-Knight among them and being led by the legendary Tommy Oliver himself, have come to help them stop the Armada.
With all the help they can ever ask for, Orion morphs into the Silver Ranger one last time and with every ranger by his side, easily wipe out the X-Borgs like a bunch of weeds, and when the last remaining X-Borgs are cornered, Orion & his team use their final attack to finish them of, ending the threat of the Armada for good.
Aftermath[]
After the battle, with the Armada destroyed completely, Tommy & the rest of the legendary rangers thank the megaforce rangers & return home peacefully, and after taking a much-needed breather, Orion & the rest of the team head back home, with Orion finally having found a new home & new people to be with, and if given the right opportunity: Happily returns back to Andresia to have a happy new beginning.
