Oscar (オスカー, Osukā) is a supporting character of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. He is a former member of the Crimean Royal Knights 12th Regiment with Kieran. He is the older brother of Boyd and Rolf, revealed to be 24 years old in a support conversation with Janaff. Oscar starts out as a Lance Knight, but can be promoted to a Paladin in Path of Radiance. In Radiant Dawn, he starts as a Lance Paladin and promotes to the third-tier Silver Knight. In Path of Radiance, if he and Boyd both choose to wield bows after promoting, and if they both do before Chapter 18, the three brothers can learn a Triangle Attack.

In Fire Emblem Heroes, he is voiced by Bryce Papenbrook in English, also voiced Henry in Fire Emblem Awakening, Raven and Karel in the same game and Young Conrad in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia, and by Junji Majima in Japanese, also voiced, Karel, Shinon, and Sothe.

Personality[]

Boyd and Rolf's older brother, Oscar is a calm, self-effacing young man who left the Royal Crimean Knights in order to support his brothers. He frequently serves as the voice of reason in the company and is good friends with the younger Ike. He seems to be very good at cooking.

Appearance[]

Oscar is a young man with short green hair. He wears distinctive green armor with gold accents on its breastplate and shoulder pads.

Biography[]

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance[]

Oscar was first seen fighting alongside Ike, Boyd, and Titania to stop Zawana and his bandits from harassing citizens of Caldea. Him and Boyd then joined up with Ike and Rhys to free Mist and Rolf from being held captive in a shack, which led them to be confined to quarters as they disobeyed Greil's orders. He was then defending the mercenary fort along with the rest of the crew. Oscar, Ike, Boyd, Soren, Rhys, and Titania made their push to the Gallia borders before being at Fort Meritenne. After General Balmer was slain, Oscar and the rest of the members were then surrounded by Petrine's army, only for Ranulf and the rest of the Gallian army to frighten her troops away. After Greil was killed, Oscar and Boyd was seen rushing back into the fort to inform Ike that Shinon and Gatrie left the group. He was then seen defending the fort as the Daein army made their push. When Rolf made his decision to fight, Oscar was skeptical since Rolf was hiding a secret about Shinon training him. As Oscar visited a red armored knight while breaking free other prisoners, it revealed to be Kieran, who was Oscar's rival. On the boat to Begnion, the three brothers were discussing their new attack plan but Boyd wanted Oscar to devise the plan. It was later revealed that they were going to do the Triangle Attack. When Ashnard was killed, Oscar was seen witnessing Ena laying by Rajaion as he roared at her. After the war ended, he described the journey as a long road that happened to pass so quickly as he congratulated Ike for the victory.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn[]

Oscar and the rest of the Greil Mercenaries were then seen fighting the Crimean Rebels in an effort to rescue Lucia. He was also fighting against Silvano's forces to help the Laguz alliance advance. During the battle against Rommit's forces, Oscar could encounter his stepmother who was willing to see Rolf, which left him infuriated for the fact she abandoned them as their father was dying. After the battle was over, his stepmother snuck into the camp in desperation of seeing Rolf. Though Oscar was willing to let her see Rolf, he has yet to forgive her for what she did. After Rolf denied to meet his mother, he then had Oscar dismiss her. As Kieran was training, Oscar approached him to give the Imbue scroll to him. Kieran initially refused but later claimed it when Oscar gave it to remind him of their friendship and rivalry. Oscar and the rest were seen later making their push to the Nox Castle. After Ashera was later defeated, Oscar returned to being a Royal Knight at Elincia's request, though he still works as a mercenary on the side.
