Verosha Aniseya, simply known as Osha, is the main protagonist of the 2024 Star Wars Disney+ series The Acolyte.
She is the former Padawan of Jedi Master Sol, and the long-lost twin sister of Mae Aniseya. When her sister starts killing Jedi, Osha teams up with her former Master to stop her sister and clear her name. While she hopes to bring her sister back to the light, she faces unexpected challenges from temptations of the dark side.
Like her twin sister, she is portrayed by Amandla Stenberg, who also portrayed Bia in Rio 2 and Spider-Byte in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Personality[]
Osha was kind-hearted and easy to befriend, but trauma from her past prevented her from being able to complete her Jedi training. Due to being unable to become a Jedi, Osha felt shame and insecurity, blaming herself for the failure. She was originally defensive when under pressure, though typically ended thinking that she likely deserved the unpleasant treatment.
Despite initially seeming more stable than Mae, she proved to be as susceptible to rage as her, if not more so; on their first reunion, Osha was conflicted about capturing her sister, so her aim with the stun rifle missed. Yet later, Osha attempted to kill Mae, until the latter fled. While Mae held no restraint in killing the Jedi who she believed wronged her, Osha was capable of murdering Sol, who despite his responsibility in killing her mother in self-defense and manipulating her life, was her closest relationship for most of her life, yet she nevertheless executed him without delay or guilt after the fact.
Powers and Abilities[]
- The Force: Osha has a natural connection to the Force, largely due to her unnatural birth like her sister. Unfortunately, Osha's ability to use the Force has deteriorated, due to not using it for six years after leaving the Jedi Order, causing her current skills to become rusty. Although, once she actually tried to harness it again, she shortly regained and surpassed her old limits.
- Telekinesis: In her youth, Osha had experience with telekinesis. As an adult, she was unable to use it due to prolonged lack of practice.
- Force Choke: When she fell to the Dark Side, she was able to use this technique to immediate effect.
- Force Sense: Osha can sense other sentient beings' emotions, the future, ripples in the Force caused by momentous or traumatic events, impending danger, and the presence of other light or dark side Force-users. When she was eight years old, Osha demonstrated her Force sensitivity through Jedi testing screens.
- Force Vision: Despite her deteriorating skills, Osha is still susceptible to Force visions, although not willingly.
- Combat Training: As a former Jedi, Osha would have been trained in lightsaber combat and martial arts. Although she has likely allowed these skills to stagnate, she showed some technique when she attempted to strike the Stranger with his own lightsaber, and when wielding Sol's lightsaber despite her attacking in rage.
- Expert Mechanic: Since her young age, Osha was skilled with machines. She manage to hotwire one of the walls to open and later after she left the Jedi Order, she became a Meknek, freelance mechanics who did repairs on the outer hulls of starships.
- Expert Markswoman: Osha is extremely skilled in utilizing blaster pistols. Although she misfired when she first confronted her sister, she did manage to shot her despite being further away from her than before.

Trivia[]
- Due to being made of the Force, it is unknown if Osha and her sister have a high midi-chlorian count of over 20,000. All there is confirmed is that they have the same midi-chlorian count at the same level, even identical twins have different levels.
- Osha and Mae created using the vergence of the Force on Brendok, but originally as one person that split into two separate people.
- Her very nature might be based in the Dark Side of the Force. Even when Darth Vader was murdering younglings, his lightsaber's kyber crystal remained blue; however, upon Osha's fall to the Dark Side, it took seconds for the crystal in the lightsaber in her hand to become completely corrupted, turning from blue to red to indicate this fact.
- Although in order to bleed a kyber crystal red, the use needs to touch the kyber crystal and since Sol's lightsaber was partially damage it allowed Osha to touch the crystal whereas Anakin's lightsaber was skill intact.
