The Ocean King, better known as Oshus in his human form, is the overarching protagonist of the 2007 action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
He is a massive, whale-like deity that guards the World of the Ocean King, a vast ocean in a parallel universe to Hyrule. After being attacked and having his life force drained by the demon Bellum, the Ocean King uses his remaining power to manifest himself as a regular human on Mercay Island, where he eventually adopts a fairy named Ciela. Years later, a young boy named Link washes up on shore looking for his friend Tetra. Seeing the boy's potential, Oshus begins guiding him on a quest to defeat Bellum and restore the realm to its former glory.
