Pabu is a supporting character in the animated series The Legend of Korra. He is a fire ferret who belongs to Bolin, and serves as the mascot for Mako and Bolin's pro-bending team. His agility and sharp teeth make him dependable in sticky situations. He has been Bolin's partner in crime on more than one occasion. He is also known to play practical jokes on Mako.
He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who also voices various other characters in the Avatar franchise.

The original inspiration for Pabu was Futa, the "seemingly-bipedal red panda who had captured the adoration of the Japanese public" years ago during the production of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Biography[]
The story of how Mako and Bolin come to adopt Pabu is featured in the Nickelodeon three-part web series Republic City Hustle.
Bolin rescued him from a local pet store.
