It's not about defeating them anymore, it's about standing up to them and fighting. I, for one, am not just gonna hand over everything that I care about to some floating head that wants revenge on us! I'm not backing down, and I don't think you want to back down either! TODAY WE FIGHT! WE FIGHT FOR THE PARK!
~ Mordecai stands up with his friends against the series' villains.

The Park Crew are the main protagonists of Cartoon Network's Regular Show franchise.

They are anthropomorphic employees at an urban park consisting of seven primary members. Despite their frequent bickering, they are very loyal to each other and often resolve the bizarre and surreal misadventures they find themselves in to protect the park.

Main Members[]

  • Mordecai (voiced by J.G Quintel) is a blue jay groundskeeper at The Park. He is more responsible and intelligent than Rigby, his best friend since childhood. He's also good at video games and usually solves their problems. He finds himself in a love triangle with Margaret and C.J.
  • Rigby (voiced by William Salyers) is a raccoon groundskeeper at The Park and Mordecai's best friend. He is lazy, hyperactive, and mischievous, but eventually matures. He obtains his high school diploma and falls in love with Eileen.
  • Benson Dunwoody (voiced by Sam Marin) is a gumball machine manager of The Park. He often clashes wrathfully with Mordecai and Rigby for slacking off, but they eventually get along better. He becomes the owner after Mr. Maellard dies.
  • Pops Maellard (voiced by Sam Marin) is a lollipop humanoid who lives at The Park. He's cheerful and naive, dresses like he's from the 1800s, and says "Jolly good show!" when happy. He's revealed to be a cosmic being born as Mega Kranus who ultimately sacrifices himself to defeat Anti-Pops and save the universe.
  • Skips (voiced by Mark Hamill) is a yeti groundskeeper at The Park. He's the strongest and smartest, always skipping instead of walking (hence his name), and helps the crew solve problems with his wisdom. Alongside Benson, he's the only main park member still employed after the finale.
  • Muscle Man (voiced by Sam Marin) is a green pig-nosed humanoid groundskeeper. He's immature and loves pranks and saying "My mom!"
  • Hi-Five Ghost (voiced by J.G Quintel) is a ghost with a hand on top of his head who works as a groundskeeper. He's best friends with Muscle Man and gives him high fives, mostly after their pranks.

History[]

The series mainly follows Mordecai and Rigby, who are groundskeepers at The Park. They constantly cause trouble with Benson while trying to have fun and avoid their jobs. The antics range from trivial park chores to extremely bizarre, supernatural events. Most episodes stand alone, but there are some plot threads across the series.

In Season 4, a new intern Thomas is hired. Season 6 reveals he's actually a Russian spy named Nikolai sent to destroy the park. However, after bonding with the crew, he switches sides and helps them instead.

In “Exit 9B,” the crew faces several villains from past episodes when they return as part of a scheme led by Garrett Bobby Ferguson, Jr. to destroy them. The entire team reunites and fights to restore their home.

Regular Show: The Movie takes place roughly between Seasons 6 and 7. Mordecai and Rigby accidentally create a time vortex and the crew travels through time to stop an evil version of Rigby’s old college rival, Mr. Ross, from destroying the universe.

In the final arc, the park gets trapped in a dome as part of a government experiment led by Mr. Maellard, and eventually, they are launched into space. The crew has to fight Anti-Pops (Pops' evil twin brother) to save the universe. It’s revealed that Pops himself is a cosmic being destined to face him. Pops defeats Anti-Pops but dies in the process, and the crew is rescued.

The epilogue takes place 25 years later. The crew has grown up and reunited, as Rigby is married to Eileen Roberts and has kids, Muscle Man is a father, and Mordecai is now an artist in love. Benson runs the park, and there's a statue of Pops to remember his sacrifice.
