Parry the Parallel Bird is a non-playable character in Donkey Kong video games. He is a friend of Kong Family, first appeared in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.

History

Parry always flies parallel above the Kongs, meaning the Kongs not only need to be aware of enemies on the ground, but also any obstacles that may be preventing Parry from reaching the No Animal mark. In some levels the reward is usually an Extra Life Ball, but sometimes a bonus barrel as well, but if they fail they have to do it all over again.
