Officer Paul Morgan is the tritagonist in the 2025 horror movie, Weapons. He is a local police officer in the small town of Maybrook, Pennsylvania, and his storyline shows how the witch's influence extended even to law enforcement.

He is portrayed by Alden Ehrenreich, who also played a young Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

History[]

The Missing Children Case[]

Officer Paul Morgan was one of the police officers investigating the bizarre disappearance of 17 children from Justine Gandy's third-grade class. Initially, he seemed like a dedicated officer focused on solving the case.

However, as the investigation continued, Officer Morgan (along with his partner, James) became increasingly focused on controlling the situation rather than solving it, often clashing with parents like Archer Graff.

Corrupted by the Spell[]

The movie reveals that Officer Morgan became a pawn of the witch, Gladys Lilly. It is shown that he and his partner, James, were helping to protect Gladys and keep the missing children hidden in Alex Lilly's basement.

When Justine Gandy and Archer Graff break into Alex's house, they find Officer Morgan and James there, guarding the basement where the children are being held. They are acting strange and aggressive, clearly under the influence of Gladys's powerful magic, just like Alex's parents.

The Climax and Death[]

During a terrifying confrontation in the Lilly house, Officer Morgan attempts to stop Archer and Justine from reaching the children and breaking the spell.

Justine Gandy manages to grab Paul's gun. In a shocking moment of self-defense, Justine shoots both Officer Paul Morgan and James, killing them instantly. This act removes two of Gladys's corrupted guards, allowing Archer to find his son and Alex to complete the spell-breaking ritual.

Character Summary[]

Officer Morgan is a tragic figure. He started as a good person with a good job but became a victim and a weapon for Gladys's evil plot. He demonstrates that the witch's influence could affect anyone in Maybrook, turning trusted authority figures into dangerous enemies.
