Paul Sunday is a supporting character of the 2007 epic drama film There Will Be Blood.
He was portrayed by Paul Dano, who also portrayed Eli Sunday in the same film.
Overview[]
As the twin brother of Eli Sunday, he is the smartest of the two. During one scene, he told Daniel that there is oil in the Sunday Ranch and how he should make business there. Daniel then accepts Paul's advice.
It's unclear what happened to Paul. It's likely that he hated his brother for radicalizing Christianity and wanted him to be exposed as a cult leader. Furthermore, it's also speculated that he went to a monastery in order to become a true priest and to stay away from Eli Sunday due to his brother promoting Christian extremism and his ideology and brainwashing his followers into worshiping Eli as a "prophet".
