Pawny is one of the main characters of the 2019 film Men in Black: International. He is a tiny alien warrior who befriended Agent M and H.
He was voiced by Kumail Nanjiani, who also voiced Jay in The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Mack Mallard in Migration, and portrayed Kingo in Eternals, and Haja Estree in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Biogarphy[]
Little is known of his species or where they come from, however it is evident that their society is run by a monarchy. They have a Queen, to which all other species are subservient, and their purpose is to serve and protect this Queen. Their appearance resembles chess pieces, even more so in their armour patterns, it seems they are able to reduce themselves in size and utilise their armour as a protective shell.
Unfortunately, fortunately after Agents H and M are introduced to the tiny alien species, they are eliminated by The Twins, who are in search of the powerful crystal superweapon, leaving Pawny as the only survivor.
Quickly after being rescued by the Agents, Pawny shows great remorse in his Queen's death, and very nearly attempts suicide, claiming he no longer has a purpose. Agent M is able to convince him otherwise, and so Pawny pledges his loyalty to her, seeing her as his new Queen.
Pawny is an outgoing, eccentric, comedic, and loyal friend to the Agents (especially M), and is also a fierce ally. Pawny arguably had a large role in helping the agents defeat the Hive-controlled High T at the Eiffel Tower, where it was by his quick thinking and actions that saved Agent M from the Hive's wormhole and pulled her back in to the Tower, where she could use the crystal superweapon against the evil alien and destroy it for good.
