| ~ Pearly the Manta Ray |
Pearly the Manta Ray is a supporting character in the Archie comics and spin-offs, Sonic the Hedgehog. She is a mobian manta ray and the apprentice of Coral the Betta.
Appearance[]
Pearly is a gray mobian anthropomorphic manta ray with light green eyes. Its muzzle is light gray in color, with spots on either side of the head. It has a dark gray oval on the top of the head. She wears an orange dress, black leggings with yellow edges and a gold necklace with a green gem. Pearly's head is actually shaped like a manta ray, hence her name.
Personality[]
Pearly is naive, childlike, childish, kind, gentle, sweet and fascinated by mysterious and astronomical events, such as the Aquarian rebirth. She is usually shy and reserved with those she doesn't know, but then in the end she grows fond of us, even if she becomes a little pushy. She is very devoted when she protects the Temple of Eusebes with Coral and her garden Chao her, but with the latter she is cautious, because she finds their appearance disturbing and scares her.
Powers and Abelites[]
As an aquatic mobian, Pearly is capable of aquatic respiration, allowing her to breathe both on land and underwater.
Trivia[]
- Pearly is the second character of the Manta Ray-species to be introduced in the comics, after Ray the Manta, and the first humanoid Manta Ray to be introduced.
- Pearly is so far the only character in any Sonic media to demonstrate a phobia of Chao.
