Penelope "Penny" Young is a supporting character in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
She was always a brilliant student who was prepared to do anything to advance professionally. She built up a reputation for being a cold, and calculating woman, who focused only on the project at hand. She was hired at Arkham Asylum by Warden Quincy Sharp to head up the Asylum's Research Department, and to finally restore the more deranged of Gotham City's super villains back to sanity.
She is voiced by Cree Summer.
History
Dr. Young is a brilliant scientist who starred out helping people from her small apartment who eventually got a at job at Arkham. She has worked at Arkham Asylum for two years during her time there she quickly became head of research at the asylum. During her time in school and helping people from her apartment she was intrested in curing and understanding mentally ill people which led her to become a doctor.
Before working at Arkham Young was obsessed with wanting to come up with a new method of curing people mentally ill she decided to try and work on a formula. But thanks to Patient X who was secretly Bane Young was able to come up up with Project Titan during her two years at the asylum.
Personality
Dr Young is strict, serious and obsessed when it comes to her work getting irritated if something interferes with her work. Her obsession leads Dr. Young to doing immortal acts on inmates to improve on her research. She is easily tricked by Joker aka Jake White who helps fund her Titan project Young is also tricked by Scarecrow believing that Crane isn't insane. Aside from her work and research Young seems is a woman who has no normal life outside of work because she says that the TITAN project is her life's work and Dr. Young has written in her notes that she works at the asylum during holidays as well.
