Pennington is a supporting character in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
History[]
Mario first meets Pennington when he first boards the Excess Express. He explains to them that he is there to understand the strange events taking place on the train, but it is Mario who understands that it was Smorg who was holding all the passengers hostage. After getting off the Excess Express, Mario goes to the Poshley Sanctum in Poshley Heights, attempts to enter the mansion, but the door is locked, but Pennington arrives and unlocks the stadium, allowing Mario to enter. Pennington reveals that he is the manager of the stadium and that being a detective is one of his hobbies.
