~ Penny revealing herself to be the Leader of Team Star. |
Penny is one of the four deuteragonists (along with Nemona, Miriadon/Koriadon and Arven) in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Originally appearing to be a normal, albeit shy student, Penny's secret identity is that of Cassiopeia, the leader of the villainous team Team Star which she formed initially to help oppressed students fight back against bullies. However, after a massive scandal causing said bullies to drop out and the school's administrative staff to resign, Penny aims to shut down the team in order to save them from disciplinary action, anonymously enlisting the player's help in the Starfall Street storyline.
Personality[]
Penny is rather reserved, preferring not to talk to people. However, she's also a competent leader, doing her best to stop Team Star from becoming delinquents. She's also pretty smart and an excellent hacker.
Biography[]
Penny was a student at the Naranja/Uva Academy, who is likely the same age as the player. At one point, she created Team Star for people who were bullied. Later, the player meets her when she gets harassed by some Team Star Grunts, who were unaware she was Cassiopeia, her to join them. After the player defeats the Team Star Grunts, she senses potential in the player and indirectly hires them as a member of Operation Starfall. Whenever the Player defeats a Team Star base, she will reward the Player with LP and Pokémon Materials, after she manages to get Koraidon/Miraidon off of her. After the Player defeats all of the Team Star Bosses, she will request the Player to go to the Naraja/Uva Academy, where she will battle the Player for Team Star. Afterwards, after she is defeated, the former Team Star Bosses come to greet their leader in person for the very first time. Later, she admits her crimes and is punished by being sentenced to community service. Later, at Area Zero, Penny accompanies the Player to Area Zero where she acts like the voice of reason, along with Arven, even though she acts like a bit of a jerk to him.
Appearance[]
Penny has light blue hair with red bangs and glasses. She wears a grey hoodie with a Poke Ball on the front. She wears grey leggings and gray snow boots will with a short see-through skirt. She also wears her signature Eevee backpack.
Trivia[]
- Penny mentions that she has issues with her family as she views them as "unbelievably annoying", mainly her father which she points out that her father is "loud" and "clingy" and also "the most annoying guy in the world". This was seen in The Way Home chapter.
- Later details in the DLC have implied Peony to be Penny's father, with her drastic difference in appearance compared to him being explained by her either being adopted or inheriting her mother's skin tone instead.
- Penny shares similar with Velma Dinkley from "Scooby-Doo".
- Both are smart girls.
- Both of them wear glasses.
