Penny Morris is one of the main characters from the children's television show Fireman Sam. She was originally a recurring character during Seasons 3-4, but ever since Season 5, she became one of the firefighters in the Pontypandy Fire Station.
As a trained lifeguard and certified scuba diver, she was in charge of the Ocean Rescue Centre from Season 6, until Ben Hooper's arrival in Season 9.
In the first four seasons, Penny is voiced by John Alderton, who also voices all the other characters and provides the narration. In season 5, Penny is voiced by Sarah Hadland, who also voices Bella Lasagne and Mandy Flood, as well as Dizzy in Bob the Builder (2015). Since season 6, Penny is voiced by Tegwen Tucker, who also voices Sarah Jones, Bronwyn Jones and Mrs. Chen.
Personality and background[]
Penny is a kind person who is very strict about fire safety and discipline, she is also shown to be very athletic and enjoys exercising as we can see in "Fit For Nothing".
She originally lived in Newtown for most of her life and soon joined the Newtown Fire Service when she finished the Newtown Fire Academy, she soon was later transferred to the Pontypandy Fire Service.
She made her debut in the Season 3 episode "Dilys' Forgetful Day", where she visited the Pontypandy Fire Station to demonstrate new RTA equipment as well as doing training exercise with Sam, Elvis, Station Officer Steele and a dummy.
In Season 5, she became one of firefighters at Pontypandy Fire Station which made her one of the main protagonists of the show starting in that season.
She is friends with almost everyone in Pontypandy and everyone in the fire station, Elvis originally had a crush on her as shown in Seasons 3-4, but beginning in Season 5, they just go back to just be friends.
