Perceptor is Optimus Prime's science officer, acting as a supporting character in the videogame Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Perceptor also features as a science and math teacher of Rescue Bots Academy in cartoon Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy.
In Fall of Cybertron, Perceptor was voiced by Jim Ward who also voiced Charles Xavier in Wolverine and the X-Men, and by Jeremy Levy, who also voiced Transformers Cyberverse's Perceptor, in Rescue Bots Academy.

While Wedge and Bumblebee were rescuing the rock creatures in space, Bumblebee went to get Perceptor to help them. With his help, Bumblebee and Wedge did their best to save the rock creatures, although the situation began to get awkward as the meteor headed for the rock creatures, he, Wedge and Bumblebee managed to save all the rock creatures. After the rescue mission, he became a science and mathematics teacher at the Rescue Bot Academy. And when he was teaching Rescue Bot Recruits, he taught them everything about science and math. And while the Recue Bot Recruits were completing their second year in the tube, he was at their graduation party at Citadel Secundus, but when the asteroid hit with Secundus, Wedge, Hoist, and Medix did their best to save him and all the other bots solidified by the anti-energon field. The situation began to seem hopeless, but together with Hot Shot, Whirl, Sludge, Snarl, Brushfire, Slash, and Laserbeak, Wedge, Hoist, and Medix managed to save him and all the frozen bots with Secundus. And when the Rescue Bot candidates graduated from sophomore year, Hot Shot and Whirl introduced him and the others to the Hot Shot nanomaterial statue, and they all believed the best was yet to come.
