Peruru (originally named "Perle") is a supporting character and the tritagonist of "Sailor Moon Super S: the Movie" (also known as "Black Dream Hole"). He is the reluctant younger brother of former fellow fairy Poupelin and once allied with Queen Badiyane. Perle, like the other fairies, possesses a magical flute, but unlike them, he doesn't mesmerize children with it. He, instead, feels sympathy for them. Befriending Chibiusa at the beginning of the film causes his loyalty to Badiyane to waver. Once she is captured, Perle allies with the Sailor Scouts and teams up with them. Notwithstanding his gender, in both versions, Perle is voiced by a woman, like most Japanese cartoon boys.
