In this world there are three people you should never fight: Technique God, Fighting God, and Dragon God. Among those three, Dragon God Orsted is the strongest and the most ruthless. Even though I respect your determination to protect your family, and am curious of that Human God... I do not want to get involved. Until Laplace revives, I don't plan on dying.
~ Perugius to Rudeus Greyrat in Volume 15, Chapter 9 of the Light Novel.

Perugius Dola (ペルギウス・ドーラ, Perugiusu Dōra?) is a major character in the light novel series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, and a returning character in the upcoming sequel. The son of the dragons Crystal and Dora, as well as the godson of Laplace, Perugius is a high-ranking member of the Dragon Tribe, and is often known as the Armoured Dragon King. He is one of the members of the Seven Great Heroes, as well as the only extant member left.

Five hundred years ago, after Laplace incited a genocidal war against humanity, Perugius and the rest of the Great Heroes sealed the Demon God away, albeit with the sacrifices of the rest of the Heroes who were all killed in the battle, thereby partially ending his threat. He currently resides in the Chaos Breaker, a floating castle above the skies, while he travels around the world, as he anticipates the awakening of Laplace, in an effort to kill him.

Perugius is voiced by Rikiya Koyama, who voiced Lord Death in Soul Eater, Kiritsugu Emiya in Fate, Yamato in Naruto, and Jin Kirigiri in Danganronpa. He is voiced by Kenny James in English, who voiced Bowser in Mario.

Appearance[]

Perugius is comparable to Orsted but without the curse of being despised. Sanpaku eyes with golden pupils and dazzling silver hair, Perugius exudes a noble aura from head to toe.

Personality[]

Like Zanoba Shirone, a proud art lover, he has a keen interest in Rudeus' figurines.

He harbours hatred for all Magic Races as a result of the long-ago conflict, but since Rudeus was so honest, he gave him the go-ahead to market Ruijerd dolls. After Rudeus informs him of what transpired, he feels obligated to Rujierd since he previously assisted him in the battle against Laplace.

Perugius frequently permits the main characters to teleport to different parts of the globe, revealing his kind nature behind his grave exterior.

Background[]

Mushoku Tensei[]

Around the time Laplace was confronting the person responsible for Crystal's demise, who turned out to be Hitogami, Dora prematurely produces the egg of Perugius. Days later, to Dora's relief, Laplace notifies her of the culprit's capture.

Laplace was hesitant to name the kid since he didn't know if it was a boy or a girl, but Dora insisted that it was a boy, so Laplace gave him the name Perugius and accepted the role of his godfather.

After reconstructing the ancient sky fortress Chaos Breaker and taking on Laplace with his allies, Perugius rose to fame. After the conflict, a new era known as the Armoured Dragon era was created in his honour.

The most dreaded Demon God and one of Laplace's suborinates, Atoferatofe Rybak, was conquered and wedded by his mate, North God Kalman the first. Kalman I forced Perugius and Atofe to make a commitment not to murder one another.

Perugius spent some time as King Asura's equal and guest in the Asura Kingdom after the Laplace campaign. During this time, he began to refer to the monarch as his friend, but he eventually became weary of court life and went into solitude. He travels the globe while perched atop Chaos Breaker, the Sky Castle, and prepares for Laplace's return in an effort to destroy the Demon God, however it is yet unclear as of late.

In Volume 2, Perugius spotted the anomalous mana collecting in the Fittoa Region's sky, along with Orsted and Kishirika Kishirisu, and as a result, he dispatched his servant, Almanfi, to look into it and eliminate any suspicious individuals engaged in it to avoid the seal on Laplace from being broken.

Mushoku Tensei Sequel[]

One of the primary plot issues left unanswered by Mushoku Tensei was Perugius' mission to assassinate Demon God Laplace. As a result, he is probably going to play a significant part in the next sequel series, which is set around the time when the latter is supposed to fully resurrect and possibly heralding his threat to the world again.

  • Summoning Magic/Teleportation - To be added
